I wrote wife because they are married: the signed form was handed in in July, basically informing the municipal office of the marriage, with application to have their own family register created. They didn't have to be at the city hall in person for that, somebody else or just one of them could have handed in the paper (signed also by 2 witnesses). Their first son was born on November 1st.
