Hironoumi 0 Posted May 11, 2016 About "ISP", I was able to go to Entry Form. However, "Runtime Error" is displayed even if I push the Submit button.Contents of Entry seem to be reflected and write contents of Entry here because there is not it. Internet Sumo Pool Day 4 I pick "Ikioi S1W (1-2) [2]" . Hironoumi
kuroimori 1,634 Posted May 11, 2016 Seems like the entries did get through, at least I could recognize my Bench lineup.
Jakusotsu 6,403 Posted May 11, 2016 Looks like the cause of the problem is indeed Doitsuyama's mail server because his private address is bouncing all of a sudden.
Jejima 1,498 Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) There is at least one Bench Sumo error for day 4..... For some reason my wife, Fujiko., has my (Jejima) line-up for her team today. Probably because we use the same computer. She tried to make an entry around 9 am Japan time - and got the runtime error. Just before 2 pm, I tried again to enter my line-up, and then hers (using back-page for speed). I guess that was when the error occurred. Edit: Her squad is different to mine, including a different Ozeki etc - so the drug testing failed! Edited May 11, 2016 by Jejima
Jakusotsu 6,403 Posted May 11, 2016 I tried again to enter my line-up, and then hers (using back-page for speed). I guess that was when the error occurred. You're on to something there! I remember a couple of similar cases when lineups for different players were entered on the same computer, and I think using back-page is the culprit. It would be great if Doitsuyama could modify the "drug testing" procedure to prevent this. Anyway, I've corrected Fujiko's lineup in the database now.

Kurofuji 11 Posted May 12, 2016 Thanks for that. The "Fantasy Sumo" link on their website take you to the Hatsu Basho final results. I didn't notice the link to current results.
Randomitsuki 2,912 Posted May 22, 2016 (edited) Hm. It's getting exceedingly difficult to contact Doitsuyama. Mails to him are bounced back, and even when I try to send a PM via the Forum, the system tells me that he cannot use the messaging system. So I try to make Doitsuyama (and others) aware in this thread, hoping that he will read it. The Juryo Game results are preliminary as is. They are based on the Haru Banzuke, but should be based on the Natsu Banzuke (which I sent very late). I hope that Doitsuyama finds the time to re-compute the Natsu standings. Until then, other stuff (e.g. Masters results) has to wait. Edited May 22, 2016 by Randomitsuki
Fukurou 534 Posted May 22, 2016 I don't know if this is a Doitsuyama thing, but Hoshitori is having its every-basho-ly delay in the final results (not all points have been added in)

Jakusotsu 6,403 Posted May 22, 2016 This is a personal message to Doitsuyama: The new email address you sent me isn't working. When replying, I get the error: Remote host said: 530 SMTP authentication is required. [RCPT_TO] If anybody around here knows a way to contact Doitsuyama other than per PM or the defunct ozumo.de email address, please let him know about the problem! Gurowake 4,154 Posted May 23, 2016 The first Sekitori-Quad tiebreaker appears to be implemented in reverse order than they should be applied for the overall standings. Looking at the last 5 days of entries, Smoczayama had the most Xs, I had a couple less, and the other two 12-3 players had none. Unless both of those other players had days they made overwhelmingly X picks, going by the pattern of the last five days, the people at 12-3 are shown in the exact wrong order in terms of the first tie-breaker, least number of Xs. The other two players are ordered correctly with respect to the next tie-breaker, total risk factor, as Herritarooo is on the Kanto-sho standings list but Feginowaka is not. Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted May 23, 2016 I think you mean Seki-Toto, Gurowake! Isn't the first tie-breaker for standings number of Makuuchi shiroboshi? And then number of x-picks?
Gurowake 4,154 Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) I would have sworn I typed Toto. I have no idea how Quad got out instead. http://www.anasuya.com/toto/rules.htmlsays that X-picks is the first tiebreaker for the yusho. That's what's linked from the results page. The link from the SB page goes to the TTT rules (even though the name of the link says sekitoto). edit: http://sekitoto.sumogames.de/rules.htmlis actually linked to from the results page, but says the same thing. /rules.ASP is the TTT rules. I guess the second tiebreaker is number of correct guesses, not risk factor, which makes sense. I just skipped over that paragraph when browsing it as it wasn't particularly relevant given that the first tiebreaker was being applied wrong. Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted May 23, 2016 As far as I recall, the TB rules changed a little a few years back. I swear there is a thread about it on here somewhere. Pierre will know.
