Is this the right topic for this?

For some weeks now, the "Sumo Reference Site" http://sumodb.sumogames.de/ is not accessable.

Is there a problem with the server or is it just me having this problem? :-S

Try clearing your browser cache and cookie collection. Edited by Asojima

Dumb question on my part, but did you try clearing your browser cache? I often forget to do that when having that sort of problem.

Thanks for your advice.

I tried this before, but the site still is not accessable.

At home it's no problem, but here at office this site seems to be blocked... (Scratching chin...)

Maybe I used it too much >:-(

This is probably your office blocking things, my company blocks gambling-related sites for example.

Hi,

cannot get access to Makushita game - although I am logged in as Wamahada the name "Pepoetse" is shown in fighting name field. When I correct it with my shikona Wamahada I am told "The shikona is previously registered by another Makushita Game player.

Please enter a different shikona." Has my account been hacked?

I am unable to submit an entry at Juryo Game, it says "Sorry but the entry form for 2016 Nagoya basho has not been completed! Please check back later." Given that it's already Thursday, July 7 in Japan that doesn't leave much time for our globally dispersed players to submit entries. I know it doesn't have the standard SumoGames login interface so I don't know if Doitsuyama is the go to guy for this game or not. If not hopefully the game runner monitors this thread and/or is already working on the entry form.

Juryo Game should be working now.

As of Makushita Game, I am confident that Doitsuyama will look into it. You can send me your picks via PM if you want to make early picks.

Looking for banzuke rankings for ISP and SekiToto for the upcoming basho. Have they been published and I missed them?

Please be so kind and let me know the groupings in Makushita game (e.g. Ms1-Ms4; Ms5-Ms8; etc...) in order to avoid wrong picks. I will send PM to you with my picks.

Thank you.

Wamahada

The groupings can be seen from the Sumo Database.

It worked well for me just now.

But I remember that I had similar problems before. Sometimes, just logging in and then making the picks and submitting them solved that issue.

Bug roundup...

In order for Juryo Game to start, I have to fill out a setup form. Before I can fill out the setup form, it needs to be activated. The last time I checked for the setup form was on Monday, and it wasn't available then. However, it was available last night, and so I could fill it in, thus enabling participation.

I inquired into the Makushita Game bug (as it appears or will appear for almost all players). As it is, I had a brainfart while entering the banzuke data into an Excel sheet for Doitsuyama. I mis-copied the ID number that is associated with each player, and so almost everybody (except shumitto and Senkoho) is treated like someone else: Wamahada is Pepoetse, Flohru is Torafujii, and I am Flohru...

I have sent a corrected banzuke file to Doitsuyama, and I hope that he can upload it soon, thus (hopefully) solving the login problems. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Ahem - no! Is it always in steps of 4? I.e. 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16,...,57-60?

Yes, the step size of the group is always 4 (8 rikishi). So you should have 60/4 = 15 total picks.

Not just Bench Sumo but all the other SumoGame.de games (Chain Gang, I.S.P. and Turn The Tide) as well. Panic mode setting in but then I enter that mode fairly easily.

It seems all Sumogames.de hosted games are suffering from some kind of affliction. For all of them I'm getting an error message stating that I return after the day 1 torikumi is released.

In order to pre-empt likely automation chaos on day 2, I thought I'd better point out that the revised day 2 schedule has not shown up (as yet) on the database. I can only wince at the trouble that could cause!
