I believe it was Lyall Watson, the commentator on C4's sumo show, who came up with 'The Typhoon' as a nickname for Terao. Terao wasn't keen on it, though. I remember seeing his reaction when he found out. "But typhoons are very bad things!" was the translated subtitle.
