Like I said, I blew through the sanyaku setup pretty quickly since it didn't seem like it would matter for Ura's schedule, and I wound up shuffling them the wrong way. I got Day 6 right, but it's disappointing that Ura is so low ranked that people couldn't make use of that and get an advantage.

The last two times (at least) there has been a seven man sanyaku, on day eight the intra-sanyaku match did not involve an Ozeki, which would line up Onosato to face Ura. I'm not sure why it worked out differently this time. Edited March 15 by Kachikoshi

I'm not sure why it worked out differently this time. One thing I've noticed after taking this approach (looking for a san'yaku of the same size as whatever we're working with) is that if the ranks don't line up the same, some decisions turn out differently. I had to go back to 2020-21 to find seven-man san'yaku setups with an active yokozuna; of the three I saw, two went the way this one did, and the other went the direction that would have resulted in Koto v. Ura. That's why I thought it was pretty split (between Oho and Koto), but didn't think Onosato was a realistic option.
