Sekitori Sweepstake - March 2023

Recommended Posts

Thank you, @Athenayamafor administering the game and @Jejimafor dreaming it up.  A lot of blood, sweat and tears were involved, but you were up to the job.  Congratulations to the Yusho winner, Jun-Yusho winner and all those who worked so hard to win a Special Prize.  It looks like next time, I need to gambarize and do "Proper Ozumo" in order to end up at the top of the heap.  I'm going to hire a Personal Trainer.  Maybe that will help!

Hmmmm ...... I don't seem to be very good at this game do I? 4 - 11 in January, and now 3 - 12 in March.

I see a pattern developing ..... 2 -13 for May perhaps?

Djodjoyoshi doesn't have a Sumo Forum account and his English isn"t that good so on his behalf I'm posting his victory speech here, free translation of what he said to me.

I have been told that my overrated cousin declared I know nothing about Sumo. I won't pretend the opposite but I believe that fate "owed me some" as last basho I already had a good pick, Hoshoryu, but his injury didn't let me finish with a better record. You see? I know something!

Anyway, I am very happy for this win and I hope I can confirm it next basho. Note to the Richijo, "a good pick for May,  please!"

Congratulations to all the players and good luck for what's next!
