9:00-13:00- rehearsals. 15:00-23:00 rehearsal and gig. I managed to get home for an hour, do the edits, start uploading, went off to the gig and finished uploading remotely by phone during rehearsals.. I myself don't know how I pulled that off..

Question: Does anybody watch the replays, or am I wasting my time by including them?

In the individual match videos most of the time I'll just watch until the ending of the bout, and I usually just rewind and play at regular speed if I want to see something again. Occasionally if there is a fine point I'm trying to pick up on I'll watch a slow-mo replay.

Of course I watch the replays. I love the replays and the slowmotion capture of what is going on showing how rikishi (fail to) defend themselves. Thank you for including them!

I often get caught by that old trap, e.g. I'm watching some guys in makushita on this thread and telling myself "Now that's sumo!  Unleash these guys on those layabouts in juryo."  But then I track down a couple of individual bouts for some rikishi and the bouts are plodding and mediocre.  Then I remember: this thread has the highlights ...

 Indeed. Day 5 was a particular case, as the full torikumi view can attest to. A few interesting bouts early on, and then lots of boring sumo in which I just didn't find anything worthy of inclusion. Even most of the top 15 bouts wouldn't have made the cut, but as mentioned I'm trying to do those in full regardless of quality.

Just a general reminder: If you can swing getting access to a Japanese proxy, Sponavi offers complete access to the lower divisions for free these days, so there's always the option to watch more than I'm able to post.

The catching-up continues, with a bunch of jonidan matches from Days 3 to 6...funny bouts, suspenseful bouts, dominant bouts, mono-ii'ed bouts, and everything from Shoji, Sumidagawa, and Torakio (currently fighting as the masked avenger for some reason).

They are very enthusiastic about what they are doing. Bonus points to the gyoji for indicating the winner while still getting back on his feet. I also liked the slight adjustment of his headgear
