Nekonishiki Banji 404 Posted June 26, 2024 Group B – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 3 – Day 4 Krisachiyama (Albania) 2 – 4 Koorifuu (Spain) Koorifuu had luck with the droning, scored 4 goals against Krisachiyama’s 2, even with an unbroken chain. Kimyama (Croatia) 0 – 0 Jarayama (Italy) Although this match lasted for four days, it was still a fast one. What the was that, Portugal? Group E – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 3 – Day 4 Nantonoyama (Slovakia) 2 – 0 Jomojo (Romania) Jomojo’s chain was broken right in the first slot, so Nantonoyama scored 2 goals. Jejima (Ukraine) 0 – 0 Asapedroryu (Belgium) It was a very fast match, too, no words for Portugal’s „game”.
Ryoshishokunin 335 Posted June 26, 2024 I agree with the tiebreak in group F, assuming the results are correct. A round-robin of 2-0 games leaves no way to separate without going to the tiebreaks that include other teams.

Jejima 1,498 Posted June 27, 2024 Hi! I am in a bit of a rush now, so most of the post group stage admin will need to be done when I return from work (in about 9 hours time). But, meanwhile, we need to pick the Penalty Takers for the Quarterfinals (Saucer Semifinals), before the next match kicks off on Saturday. Go here to pick your Quarterfinal (Saucer Semifinal) Penalty Takers. (This is different to the list of penalty takers for the Octofinals (Saucer Quarterfinals) - I already have all of those.) Athenayama 1,198 Posted June 27, 2024 GROUP A VAR Regarding Jakusotsu - Kuma Koma game. Many, many thanks to @Nekonishiki Banji who opened my eyes after several messages. I forgot about the situation 8 of the rules and claimed that the chain of Kuma Koma breaks at #3 but according to the rules it actually never breaks. And as Kuma Koma scores another goal at #8 with Austria the final score is 2-0 for Kuma Koma. Tables and standings corrected and updated according in my last report of Group A. I apologize for that. Thanks for your undersanding. Thankfully it doesn't change much for all the general consequences (changes things in the Boot and Gloves standings though!). I rooted against "my" national team for a good chunk of my life. The difference is that I can put it in a couple of paragraphs. I'm probably younger than average around here, falling slightly short of my 40th. So I was an early teen by the time we our 'Golden Generation' peaked around 1998-2003. Soo I was already participating on some international online circles by then, and those guys' unprofessional mentality embarrassed me to no end. I absolutely did not want to be bundled in with a bunch of officials who prioritised money and self-serving over actually putting on the results, and a bunch of players who were quickly becoming more famous for being uncivilised/undisciplined to the point of punching referees than they were for their abilities. It made me feel so backwards. I think that they woke up after wasting arguably one of their best ever squads in 2002 over a multitude of amateurish decisions. The self-serving mentality is there, but it's definitely been reined in. It took me actually moving out of the country to start to appreciate them. Which has now gone awry again, as they're falling into old habits by ruining very good squads out of subservience to a 39 year old has been that keeps dragging everyone down.
Koorifuu 1,120 Posted June 27, 2024 (edited) I believe that Fujiko (Group D) and Baku (Group C) are the two unlucky third place finishers that don't move on to the knockout stage, presuming that all classifications posted here are final. Fujiko is the only one with 3pts and a negative goal difference, whilst Baku has the least goals scored (2) out of those with 3pts and a neutral goal difference. If the above is correct, and according to the official matrix for the best 3rd placed teams, we've got the following matchups: 1B vs 3E 1C vs 3F 1E vs 3B 1F vs 3A Edited June 27, 2024 by Koorifuu

Jejima 1,498 Posted June 27, 2024 (edited) The rules for how the Saucer bracket is arranged can be found in the usual place. Basically, the two 3rd teams not progressing to the Bowl get seeded 1 and 2. The two fourth placed teams from those groups then get placed in the matches on the opposite side of the draw (see below). These two fourth placed teams are also ranked to see who faces who later. Then the remaining four fourth placed teams are ranked. The fourth ranked team will then meet the top seed. The third ranked will meet the second seed. The second ranked will meet the higher ranked of the 'other' two fourth placed teams. The first ranked will meet the lower ranked of the 'other' fourth placed teams. It will all make sense in a second Bench Euros 2024 Saucer knockout bracket Baku (England) vs 4th best of remaining four Fourth in Group D (due to Fujiko) vs 1st or 2nd best of remaining four (depending on ranking of 4th in Groups C and D) Fourth in Group C (due to Baku) vs 1st or 2nd best of remaining four (depending on ranking of 4th in Groups C and D) Fujiko (Poland) vs 3rd best of remaining four Edited June 27, 2024 by Jejima

Jejima 1,498 Posted June 27, 2024 The rules change a little for the knockout stages, to allow for matches to be decided in '90 minutes', 'Extra time' or by 'penalties'. Please read here for explanation. Note to refiojis. If anyone drones for the next round, you use the player's line-up for the 3rd round of the group match. Delete any teams from the line-up already eliminated, and add the first substitute (if any) to the end of the line-up. I will publish the (reduced) squads for all players, with first substitutes added for all players (S1) = first substitute. -number = number of teams left in the squad.
