I was rooting for Scotland, the Scottish fans here in Germany are really by far the best. Had dozens of them around me on my 4 hour train ride to Stuttgart. A loss after 90+10  minutes is not what they deserved.

Ganzohnesushi

Surely the fans didn't deserve it but unfortunately the team definitely did. I watched all the game and it was tragic...

Hungary didn't deserve it more but when you are afraid to play for the first 80 minutes, trying to "steal" the win in the last ten, this is usually what happens.

Sorry Ryoshishokunin but I am trying to be honest ! It would have been Greece playing like that, I would have had the same comment.

Varga is at the hospital in a "stable condition" whatever that means.

Means he's unlikely to die.  Which.. if that's the best report available isn't much.  Anything up to a broken spine can still be 'stable'.

And yes, the Scots seem to have tournament nerves/coaching/something.  They looked much better tactically in qualifying.

Latest news I have is multiple fractures on face + concussion. He'll have surgery but it seems his life is not in danger. Thank God.

A cancelled flight on Friday evening threw my weekend into disarray, so quite frankly setting my team for the 3rd round robin matches wasn't exactly my priority...

...but on the plus side, based on previous examples, the drone's not going to do worse than I would've. :-P

Group B – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 3

Krisachiyama (Albania) vs Koorifuu (Spain)

Krisachiyama’s first position is a win, and he has two potentional goals. There will be more results tomorrow, when he will have at least one real goal.

Kimyama (Croatia) vs Jarayama (Italy)

Not too much happened here, the main thing that Kimyama’s (R) team didn’t win, either

Group E – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 3

Nantonoyama (Slovakia) vs Jomojo (Romania)

Nantonoyama’s slots are filling up step by step. Jomojo has already a draw in #7.

Jejima (Ukraine) vs Asapedroryu (Belgium)

Still not too much to say, Jejima’s Croatia (C) got a draw. More partial results tomorrow.

Round 3 - Half-time report

Group D

Ryoshishokunin 0:0 Ganzohnesushi
(Netherlands) (Austria)

Portugal ≡:≡ Portugal
Germany D : Belgium
Scotland © L x: D Germany
Netherlands ® L x: Denmark
Czechia ≡:≡ Czechia
Croatia D x: Slovakia
Slovenia x: D Switzerland ©
Austria W x: Ukraine
Switzerland D x: W Austria ®

Ganzohnesushi has matchballs aplenty.

Kaba 0:0 Fujiko
(France) (Poland)

France ® D : England
Portugal ≡:≡ Portugal
Belgium : Belgium ©
Denmark : W Hungary
Czechia : Denmark
Slovakia © : Romania
Scotland L x: D Switzerland
Serbia x: Georgia
Switzerland D x:x D Poland ®

A draw by his R-team on top almost makes Kaba root against England, which he would never do of course.

Group F

Joputosu 0:0 Athenayama
(Georgia) (Portugal)

Belgium : D Germany
Turkiye : L Netherlands
Spain W : W Austria
Romania : Denmark
Croatia D : Portugal ®
Georgia ® : Turkiye
Poland D ≡:≡ D Poland
Serbia : L Albania

Nothing settled here yet besides a small advantage for Joputosu in slot 3.

Bumbiachiyama 0:0 Djodjoyoshi
(Czechia) (Turkiye)

Portugal : D France
England : W Spain
Switzerland D : D Italy
Italy © D : Denmark
Ukraine : Turkiye ®
Croatia D :x L Scotland
Slovakia :x Serbia ©
Czechia ® :x Czechia
Austria W :x Slovenia

Will Bumbiachiyama score a goal at last slot?

Scotland L x: D Switzerland
Serbia D x: Georgia

England wasn't bad enough for Kaba to beat his Mom, who might score some more goal.

Djodjoyoshi scored a goal but it's not too late for Bumbiachiyama to fight back.

Group B – Refioji Nekonishiki - Round 3 – Day 3

Krisachiyama (Albania) vs Koorifuu (Spain)

Two real goals for both players, but this match is over for Krisachiyama in #3.
A third goal is waiting for Koorifuu, and who knows, there may be even more.

Kimyama (Croatia) vs Jarayama (Italy)

It happened that this match is full of draws so far, no goals, even not a potential one.

Group A Round 3 - Day 3 :

Kuma Koma score a goal at #1 and keeps his hopes alive for even a win. Now even with 11 substitutes in Portugal could Georgia win tomorrow? That remains to be seen.
So let's see the possible scenarios tomorrow..
Portugal W - Czechia W = Jakusotsu wins 2 - 1
Portugal W - Czechia D or L = draw 1 - 1
Portugal D - Czechia W = draw 1 - 1
Portugal D - Czechia D or L = Kuma Koma wins 1 - 0
Portugal L = Kuma Koma wins 1 - 0

Jakusotsu     Goal H Chain H   Goal A Chain A   Kuma Koma
1. England D -     - 1   W Spain

7. Austria © W - 1   -     D Switzerland
8. Switzerland ® D -     -     W Austria
9. Slovenia D -     -     L Albania ©

Tanetakahiro's chain breaks at #3 leaving the road for Nekonishiki to a big win. Too many scenarios for the final score but let's see the main possibilities for just the result (W-D-L).
Belgium W = Nekonishiki wins
Belgium D - Turkey W or D = Nekonishiki wins
Belgium D - Turkey L = draw 0 - 0

Now that's bitter. The referee is to blame for France's lead by failing to grant a corner kick for Austria. :-(

I hope I remember next time never to doubt @Ganzohnesushi's doubts.

England plays so bad it hurts to watch.

It would be interesting to see how England would perform with a team manager like Ralf Rangnick. Just look what this guy achieved with formerly average Austria. They won their group vs. the bigwigs from France and Netherlands... Ok, Netherlands is rather bold than a bigwig (Laughing...)   I guess Southgate is toast after this tournament. No plan, no ideas, no strategy. To be honest, I did not expect them to perform that bad.

On the other hand, we should not forget the similar bad perfomance by Italy in the group stage at WC'82. As soon as they survived the group they developed into a real monster team... But even in my wildest dreams I don't see England to undergo such a metamorphosis.

Italy just had a Paolo Rossi from another planet in that tournament. They wouldn't ever have passed Brazil without him.

Not only Rossi, from goalkeeper Dino Zoff, defenders Claudio Gentile (no, he was never gentle) and Gaetano Scirea to midfielders Marco Tardelli and Bruno Conti Italy worked brilliantly as a team. Rossi alone would have won nothing but of course his six goals in the tournament helped a lot.

Of course they had good players (or brutal). I was mostly referring to their game against Brazil. The auriverde were two levels above any other team in that tournament and in that game it was just Rossi who made the difference.
