Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted November 13, 2015 Jakusotsu: That song you put in the Bench Makuuchi results was hilarious!
kuroimori 1,634 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) YES! Finally an almost impeccable Day of Sumo Gaming for me - including a veeery lucky win in TOTO. I could use more of those! Not that I have any chances anymore, neither for the Green Mawashi nor for the 2015 SG Championship, but at least I hope I can add a bit of drama to Rando's excellent daily SG Championship Finish Line thread. kuroimori 1,634 Posted November 15, 2015 Today's a contender for highest-ever average in Sumo Game. We shall see in a few minutes... Yes, I noticed that. Actually when I was working on my SG lineup against Rando yesterday I was thinking to myself "I might come in handy to have a 10-point-team tomorrow..." - turns out I was right - but I somehow was lucky to have my consecutive 10 point score AND the better ranking order today. I need to cherish this, cos tomorrow will be an utter nightmare for sure...
kuroimori 1,634 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) 9.08. 4th highest ever! Incredible stuff, the 4 top Makuuchi matches are picture perfect! And isn't it awkward to read this kind of tie-breaker: "Hakuho is lower ranked than Kakuryu in position 1" Edited November 15, 2015 by kuroimori

kuroimori 1,634 Posted November 15, 2015 Sanyaku average in Bench is also a perfect ten 14 today!
Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted November 15, 2015 Kuroimori: Yeah, I thought Gary had lost today, assuming Hak was higher ranked than Kak! He'll be pleased with that! Bench was hairy today...not sure how I'm 6-2 with my team!
Gurowake 4,154 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) I somehow picked Shodai to lose for TTT instead of his opponent. Oops. This is the first time I can recall actually making a pick that I completely did not intend, and usually I read the TTT entry after I make it to make sure I selected the right people to win and lose. Sigh. Edited November 15, 2015 by Gurowake

Yubinhaad 11,980 Posted November 18, 2015 In Hoshitori, Kitanoedo got the daily top score on Day 10 with 54 points. It's only the fifth sub-60 daily top score in the available archives, but the long-standing record of 53 set by Clayama, in his only basho, continues to survive. Basho Day Player Score 2002 Kyushu 14 Clayama 53 2013 Hatsu 12 Kaiaikakaiko 54 2013 Hatsu 12 Taizan 54 2015 Kyushu 10 Kitanoedo 54 2014 Hatsu 1 Jejima 59 2012 Kyushu 10 Sebunshu 60 2004 Hatsu 13 Kaiseroki 61 2009 Hatsu 10 Sekihiryu 61 2000 Hatsu 2 Toyonishiki 62 2002 Haru 4 Vakond2 62 Frinkanohana has four days left to record a daily top score for the fourth consecutive basho, which would equal Choshu-yuki's record. Bunijiman was also on a streak of three, but is absent this basho.
Gurowake 4,154 Posted November 18, 2015 Wasn't there a time when the scoring rules were different? Or are you only including ones that use the current scoring rules?
Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted November 20, 2015 Kitanoumi's death helped me along the way! And now is the perfect time! I also announce the retirement of Pandaazuma, after a shameful tournament not befitting a SuperbanzukeYokozuna. I'll turn up again in the games of course under a new name. Thanks everyone for the memories! Kore kara ganbarimasu!

Ganzohnesushi 548 Posted November 20, 2015 I can't believe what I just read here.... Just one lousy tournament and you want to retire? Come on, this is just gaming and everybody will lose from time to time, even a SB Yokozuna. Don't let the Panda die! Continuing under a new Shikona is not the same thing as before. Stand up and fight to get back your rank, Simon! If someone can achieve this, it's you. Ganzohnesushi
Asashosakari 20,301 Posted November 20, 2015 I'm thirding the previous two comments. Don't let the Super Banzuke dictate what you do in the actual games.
Randomitsuki 2,913 Posted November 20, 2015 And I am quartering the previous sentiments! Given that you wrote your mail in the middle of the night, I urge you to reconsider on Saturday morning. Superbanzuke Yokozuna is not comparable to being Yokozuna in any other game, let alone being Yokozuna in the real thing. You become Ozeki or Yokozuna on the Superbanzuke without any particular fuss, and so you can just as easily switch back and forth between ranks. Don't waste a year or two because of a sub-par performance. If I had followed your code, I would have to intai at least twice a year!

Achiyama 1,272 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) Oh no Simon! On my Birthday? Don't do it! One will rise and win one basho, others will fall and loose. It's the same in real life, isn't it? Aren't all these games created for fun? Don't erase such a colorful Shikona. And if on Saturday morning you still want to retire and restart playing some day, please, choose the Shikona - Pandaazuma II 😊 Edited November 21, 2015 by Achiyama

Highly classy , respectable and courageous decision but also very surprising to me (and for everyone I suppose) As the others said , you may still change your mind. But whatever your decision will be , the good news is that you stay in the sumo-games little world!
Gurowake 4,154 Posted November 21, 2015 Of all the days I can't be home between the kyujo announcements and the daily games' deadline, there has to be 3 kyujos. This marks the second basho in a row I've picked someone in Quad who hasn't shown up.
