Probably Hokutofuji and Kitanowaka

I'd say definitely. The next closest candidate would be M5e Nabatame (3-12), who is safe by the numbers.

I always forget how young Mudoho is compared to how long he's actually been in sumo. His older brother Naya should probably join a support group with Wakatakamoto for guys who're the oldest of 3 rikishi brothers but haven't made sekitori, while their two younger brothers have.

Congrats to Daiamami! Coming off of a 4-11 and a year straight of MK, he opened this basho with an 0-3 record, wisely securing himself the worst strength of schedule possible, then proudly beat 3 lower-ranked struggling rikishi before being scheduled a promotion-deciding match against a 3-11 opponent who was always unlikely to show up for the match. Brilliant tactics by this man, who so clearly deserves another shot at Juryo.

Indeed, 9 years after he did it so perfectly the first time, Daiamami once again 4-3s his way to juryo (Zabutonflying...)

Aw. As much as I like Daiamami, I had to let out a resentful chuckle at that. :-P It's not exactly defamation, is it.

To be fair he'd been looking out of place in juryo for a looong time, I thought he'd be demoted two basho earlier but eventually found enough wins near the end.

We can at least commend his fortitude in ensuring he won 3 in a row when he absolutely had to.

I'm happy for Mita :-)
I wonder if he's going to a) hit a wall in Juryo and b) take a proper shikona eventually (according to the heya's YT channel he sticks with Mita for now).

So we might (not likely given the difference in rank, but reasonably possible) see Mita vs. Mitakeumi next basho.

All Haru 2025 bouts by the four promotees to juryo:

Miyagi
Mudoho
Mita
Daiamami

Includes some dupe listings across the four playlists; Miyagi/Mudoho/Mita fought in all three combinations and Miyagi - Daiamami also took place. I didn't think a combined playlist of all 23 bouts is all that convenient to view, but do let me know if that would be preferable.

Nice of Hokutofuji to let Miyagi and Daiamami into Juryo (although Kitanowaka may not be too pleased). Miyagi's wins looked rather similar, while he got blown away in his losses.
