What is cricket?

Depends. It's either a sport played in Europe and Australia, or a bug

Yeah, I know I should have added a smiley to underline that I was joking but I thought it was obvious. ;-)

No-one needs to google MJ. It's Michael Jackson.

MJ is Mary-Jane, Spider-Man's girlfriend.

FYI, most European countries aren't big on cricket - mainly because they were not part of the British Empire.

The quarter of the world's population that lives in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, however...

Basically for men's cricket, it is 'England (and Wales - they are grouped together for the sport, yet are known as just 'England' usually) and Ireland. They are the only 'test playing' nations in Europe. But there are a further 33 'associate' members, including such mighty nations as 'Jersey', 'Isle of Man' and 'Gibraltar' - and Israel (since 1974).

But if you were to ask me, I'd say that England (and Wales) is the only major team (sekiwake, perhaps) from Europe, with notable mentions to Ireland (upper Juryo), Scotland and Netherlands (Makushita).

I know little about cricket, other than it's a British export which has achieve near-forum-guidelines-contravening status on the Subcontinent. They don't need grass to play, either...

Any player caught taking grass would face consequences, as cricket is part of WADA.

I had never heard of him - until @Takanorappa took me to watch him during spring training.

That was Tom Brady, right? And it was spring training?

It was Fall training camp at Gillette Stadium, and, indeed, Tom Brady was there.
