Rocks 1,810 Posted January 28, 2018 Ryuden face plants too. Another terrible match. Very good debut for him though.

Asashosakari 20,310 Posted January 28, 2018 Zero-win records in makuuchi with 8+ losses: Query (Just imagine that a certain longstanding DB bug didn't exist and Terunofuji is at the bottom of that list, as he should be.)
Rocks 1,810 Posted January 28, 2018 Abi wins and gets his sansho, good debut for him but I could have done without the 2 henkas.

Maybe add that he returned from kujo and was here on 15th day? http://sumodb.sumogames.de/Query_bout.aspx?show_form=0&day=15&m=on&wins1=0 Edited January 28, 2018 by Qwerry
Rocks 1,810 Posted January 28, 2018 Wow, first good match of the night in makuuchi. Endo fought very hard but Tochinoshin got his 14th win. Awesome.
Rocks 1,810 Posted January 28, 2018 Shodai loses but Chiyotairyu wins and gets his KK. Endo out of the running for the 2nd Komusubi slot.
Rocks 1,810 Posted January 28, 2018 Takarafuji wins a wins a tough match against Giku, getting his KK and handing Giku his MK. Chiyotairyu gets the 2nd Komusubi slot for sure.
Rocks 1,810 Posted January 28, 2018 Ichinojo handles Kaisei easily and gets his 10th win. If he starts next basho like he fought the last 10 days of this one he'll be in the yusho race for sure.
Jyuunomori 238 Posted January 28, 2018 Ichinojo finishes with a strong 10-5 record. What an excellent basho for him. This also solidifies his Sekiwake spot, Tochinoshin won't overtake him now. Speaking of Tochinoshin! 14-1, there is no questioning the legitimacy of his Yusho. Amazing record.

But Tochinoshin is behind two ranks (4 spots). True, he won the Yusho, but I argue that Ichinojo will be a Sekiwake instead. 10-5 record is a strong showing at M1w and I think it is Sekiwake worthy. Tochinoshin will be K1e. I totally would like him to be S1w, but it is Tochinoshin and we all know his Banzuke luck.

Jyuunomori 238 Posted January 28, 2018 (edited) Let's go Kakuryuu, let us make it 5 in a row. Let's pull! Edit: Drat! Edited January 28, 2018 by Jyuunomori
Rocks 1,810 Posted January 28, 2018 Kakuryu beats Goeido but looked like he hurt his wrist or hand doing it. Ends his 4 loss skid and puts in a very passable performance.

Forum Board turned into mere chat, as I see it here. Not good. Well, if admins read this, I complain. You know, I appreciate for many years the excellent and information rich service provided by many members, with insights, polemics, speculations, fun, it is all fine for me. Even one liners can be on point. But this is ridiculous. 3

I gave parts of this thread a miss, and probably missed out on reading some quality posts. I feel like I'm wading through chat to get to actual content you may see in a forum. @Rocks- I think the situation would be better if you edited your posts and added on paragraphs instead of making lots of consecutive comments. You're pushing back old posts too quickly too often. 5
