Wow, first good match of the night in makuuchi. Endo fought very hard but Tochinoshin got his 14th win. Awesome.

Shodai loses but Chiyotairyu wins and gets his KK. Endo out of the running for the 2nd Komusubi slot.

Takarafuji wins a wins a tough match against Giku, getting his KK and handing Giku his MK. Chiyotairyu gets the 2nd Komusubi slot for sure.

Ichinojo handles Kaisei easily and gets his 10th win. If he starts next basho like he fought the last 10 days of this one he'll be in the yusho race for sure.

Ichinojo finishes with a strong 10-5 record. What an excellent basho for him. This also solidifies his Sekiwake spot, Tochinoshin won't overtake him now.

Speaking of Tochinoshin! 14-1, there is no questioning the legitimacy of his Yusho. Amazing record.

But Tochinoshin is behind two ranks (4 spots). True, he won the Yusho, but I argue that Ichinojo will be a Sekiwake instead. 10-5 record is a strong showing at M1w and I think it is Sekiwake worthy.

Tochinoshin will be K1e. I totally would like him to be S1w, but it is Tochinoshin and we all know his Banzuke luck.

Tochi won't need any luck. He had 4 more wins than Ichinojo and the Yusho.  He'll be Sekiwake.

Kakuryu beats Goeido but looked like he hurt his wrist or hand doing it. Ends his 4 loss skid and puts in a very passable performance.

I have to say I disagree. Was it nice? Probably not,  but the Spoilers thread tends toward more looseness than the rest of the board.

Seconded- and paging @Jakusotsu for his thoughts. There's been way too much flooding and posts of little value. I gave parts of this thread a miss, and probably missed out on reading some quality posts. 

I feel like I'm wading through chat to get to actual content you may see in a forum. 

@Rocks- I think the situation would be better if you edited your posts and added on paragraphs instead of making lots of consecutive comments. You're pushing back old posts too quickly too often.
