Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 6, 2014 Shimodahito and Chishafuwaku: I am refioji-ing your semi-final match. Please send me your line-ups two hours before the kick-off of the first semi-final at the latest.
Jejima 1,498 Posted July 6, 2014 Here are the copied and pasted rules from the Bench Euro 2012 tournament for the semi-finals, with some changes. As there are two matches available for both the semi-finals and for the finals, these rules are to be used for the remainder of the competition. Rules for the Semi-finals and Finals We are now breaking the two matches into 'three' parts. Namely the result of the first half, the result of the second half, and the result of extra time (if no extra-time, this counts as a 'normal' 0-0 draw - even if it features a © or ® team). Penalty kicks are not included. NB: This is the results for that time period 'only' (not accumulative), so if we look at the 'real' results of the quarter finals, it would be as follows:- France vs Germany 1st half: France 0-1 Germany (Germany win) 2nd half: France 0-0 Germany (Both teams draw) (Did not happen) Extra Time: France 0-0 Germany (Both teams have a 'normal' draw) Brazil vs Colombia 1st half: Brazil 1-0 Colombia (Brazil win) 2nd half: Brazil 1-1 Colombia (Both teams draw) (Did not happen) Extra Time: Brazil 0-0 Colombia (Both teams have a 'normal' draw) Argentina vs Belgium 1st half: Argentina 1-0 Belgium (Argentina win)2nd half: Argentina 0-0 Belgium (Both teams draw)(Did not happen) Extra Time: Argentina 0-0 Belgium (Both teams have a 'normal' draw) Netherlands vs Costa Rica 1st half: Netherlands 0-0 Costa Rica (Both teams draw) 2nd half: Netherlands 0-0 Costa Rica (Both teams draw) (Did happen) Extra Time: Netherlands 0-0 Costa Rica (Both teams draw, ® and © teams count.) Players need to label which part of the match they are predicting. Remember that you predict for all parts of the match for the teams still on your roster. So if you have all four teams, you will have 12 slots in total. Label as follows:- (1st) = first half, (2nd) = second half, (ET) = Extra time. Also remember to highlight your (E1) and (E2) teams (from the previous two rounds - if still in) - by putting it by the first mention of that team in your line-up. Your © and ® teams - if you are lucky enough to still have them - have slightly different rules (new for this competition). You choose which part of the match (so 1st, 2nd or ET - remember if no extra time occurs, then any ® or © team in that slot is counted as a 'normal' draw. If extra time does occur, then ® and © teams in that slot get the 'special' powers.) to use your special ® or © powers. This power can only be used once - so choose carefully. For the other two time periods, they count as 'normal' teams. So remember to indicate (just the once) which slot you intend to use the special powers in. Example line-up... Let's pretend that Brazil is my ® team... I think that the match is going to go to extra time, when Brazil will win. I also have Argentina (I know not possible to have both Argentina and Brazil as special teams - this is just for an example.) as my © team, and I think there is a good chance that Argentina will either be drawing or winning by the end of the first half. I also have Germany still in my squad as my (E2) pick. I don't have Netherlands. Here is my line-up Jejima: 1. Brazil ® (ET), 2. Argentina (2nd), 3. Brazil (1st), 4. Argentina © (1st), 5. Germany (E2) (2nd), 6. Germany (1st), 7. Brazil (2nd), 8. Argentina (ET), 9. Germany (ET) I am using my special ® power for the first slot with Brazil in ET, and my special © power with Argentina in the 4th slot for the 1st half. Let's say that the results are as follows.... Brazil vs Germany 1st half: Brazil 1-0 Germany (Brazil win) 2nd half: Brazil 0-0 Germany (Draw) (Did not happen) Extra Time: Brazil 0-0 Germany (Treated as a draw with 'normal' teams.) Argentina vs Netherlands 1st half: Argentina 0-0 Netherlands 2nd half: Argentina 0-0 Netherlands (Did happen) Extra Time: Argentina 0-0 Netherlands In my first slot, Brazil ® ET, it's a 'draw' - but as Extra Time did not happen, this does not break my chain. In the second slot, I have Argentina in the 2nd half (which is a draw). Even though Argentina is my © team, I have not chosen this slot for its special power, and so it counts as an ordinary draw, and I can't score a goal. In my third slot, I have Brazil in the first half - which they won. However, I did not mark this with my ® special power, so I cannot score more than one potential goal. In my fourth slot, I have Argentina as a draw in the 1st half, which does happen. As I have chosen to mark that time slot with my © special power, I have the potential to score a goal.... ...and so on. Normal time rules. As before. Extra time rules. The chain restarts for extra time from the slot after the one that ended the normal time results. Penalties: as outlined in a previous post - please send me your penalty takers.. Drone rules... All teams already knocked out of the World Cup are removed from the drone's line-up. Drones order of their squad will be the current order of their remaining teams, from 1st half - Extra time. E.g. Drone: 1. first team (1st), 2. first team (2nd), 3. first team (ET), 4. second team (1st), 4. second team (2nd) etc, where 'first team' means the first team in their previous line-up (for the quarter-finals) still in the World Cup 2014. Semi-drones.... If any player omits to give the 'time' for the match, E.g. 1. Brazil, 2. Germany etc, it will be assumed to be 1. Brazil (1st), 2. Brazil (2nd), 3. Brazil (ET), 4. Germany (1st) etc I think that covers everything!

OK, now this isn't going to happen again, so mark your calendars. I made a typo on the goals scored in the Kotononami v Shumitto match-up. The given score was 1-0, Kotononami, and I listed it as 2-0, Kotononami. And now the score is corrected to 2-0. Or maybe I'm just psychic.

Arjen R. This is so tough to predict, both games could go either way, I see no favorite whatsoever in 1st, 2nd or ET. But I'd love to see a final GER vs ARG again, sorry selecão. GER vs NED wont happen, coz this this Latin soil... game kick-off is 4am here in Singapore, outch. Deuuuut-SCHLAAAAAAND !!! Will i catch up with Klose & Ronaldo at the Golden Boot competition ?? Let's have heavy, but fair fight, Mr Saruyama. GO SAKURA Saruyama (England): I see am I against my heya-mate Andonishiki for this match. So good luck to you sir, may it be a good match.Refioji Pregame: Both players had a good pre-basho selection with Brazil and Netherlands, allowing them a full compliment to play with. And both show their defensive skills by bringing the ET parts in high slots. And both are proud members of Sakura ichimon. But still the lineups are pretty different with all slots in play. Saruyama clearly favours Brazil over Germany while andonishiki wants Germany to succeed, so this match probably will be the decider.Refioji MbM:
