The games rely far too much on centralized DB functionality for pulling matches and results from the Kyokai site so that every game's code doesn't have to do it on its own, which is not going to magically keep working if a hypothetical external games site has to communicate with the DB like any ordinary user. Yep, as I mentioned I don't know all the technical stuff but was hoping those that do might have a more decentralised solution so we can avoid this shit show again in the future.
