Konosato 46 Posted July 14 Yesterday at the Sekitoto I landed just above the smart line and so I realised a positive result. Because I ‘only’ made two tip errors in the Makuuchi but their ELF in the Juryo, I ended up in first place overall. This is striking proof that this strange regulation from the Zenjimoto/Kofuji era must finally be changed.

Jakusotsu 6,321 Posted July 14 I think Konosato talks about being first place overall by tie-breakers, which disregard Juryo picks.
Konosato 46 Posted July 14 The overall ranking should not be based primarily on makuuchi results but on the points gained overall and then on the risk factor.

So, points don't matter, only correct Makuuchi guesses are counted for tie-breakers?
Athenayama 1,168 Posted July 14 (edited) All the above remind me of some discussion in Augsburg not so long ago. Edited July 14 by Athenayama

The reason they don't use those is because one is the gino-sho and the other the kanto-sho. The game runners didn't want a yusho tiebreaker that was the same as a sansho, hence the Makuuchi bouts tiebreaker.
Hakumadashi 13 Posted July 14 (edited) Can you check that tiebreaker score somewhere? I’m in 3rd, and playing for the first time so this post is how I find out about that tiebreaker, and I could count my own results of course if I remember them all, but would be interested in knowing how large the gaps are, as especially in a Yusho race that could be crucial? Sorry if I’m missing something obvious, the website is a bit buggy for me on mobile and I don’t have access to a PC right now. Would that change something to know you are two wins behind when you make your daily picks? Pick winners every Day and you will automatically find yourself one top. Oortael 156 Posted July 16 (edited) I'd like to ask a referee or game manager. I couldnt enter Juryo game because my password wouldnt work. I posted my entry in the 'Game bugs' subforum before the deadline. Could it be counted as an official entry please ? Edit : wanted to link to my post but got a 403 error saying my IP is forbidden on this site. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edited July 16 by Oortael

Nantonoyama 255 Posted July 17 Ok thanks, seen. I am having a very busy time (couldn't even enter any game), so it may take time, but your entry is valid and will be considered for superbanzuke points and banzuke purposes. This entry-related bug is strange, when I have some time I'll investigate
Oortael 156 Posted July 17 @Xiongmao @Nantonoyama Thanks to both of you. You can contact me when you're available via MP if you need more details about the bug. Maybe the password requirement for Juryo game isn't really necessary ? And players could just put their entry with their Shikona and email (like Hoshitori or UDH) ? I'll leave it out there for futur considerations. Cheers

Kaito 325 Posted July 23 I can't understand how I didn't get Tippspiel picks in yesterday. And it had to happen on the only day I didn't watch live. Otherwise, I probably would've pulled up my picks before makuuchi started and realized they inexplicably weren't there. I would've scored 13 points and been tied for 3rd overall. Now I'm just out. Buncha world championship points down the drain.

To make sure I don't miss anything, I have created a daily checklist of all the games I play; it's the only way to avoid missing entries, unfortunately.
