In SG, all my wins and losses were in the same order as my opponent's, and it's the first time I won by "lowest ranked in highest position" .

This is more common that one would expect. I have certainly won/lost that way dozens of times. Never been involved in the third TB though...random selection of the winner.

Except on Day 1, when everyone got a random draw due to some bug.:-P

Finally got a win in Toto, by the skin of my teeth no less. That game is murder this basho. The rest are a mixed bag except for Chain where I exited early. I don't expect I am doing well in Hoshitori but I don't think I am very low either. Hopefully.

As far as Oracle I picked too may KK again somehow but at least it looks like I picked mostly right for the MKs so far. @Pandaazuma that was pretty stunning going for a 5 for Mita. I don't think he would score only 5 even with 1 leg. But he is far from having a KK in the bag yet so it may not hurt you too much. Enho on the other hand is going to cost a lot of people points.

My impression from the pre-basho keiko reports was that he basically couldn't do sumo at all. Given that he has to fight all the top guys, I decided to risk the 5-10. Now of course I can see that he is about 70%. He will probably get 8 now, so my main aim is to get KK.

The only information I gleaned was that he *didn't*, but he's not known for being a stellar example of training so I just took it that he wanted to take it easy and had a good excuse.  But I don't really read them very carefully since they have no bearing on my selections.

Yes, this is where I think I erred. He certainly doesn't look himself this basho, though. Seven or less would not surprise me.

Oracle day 7. Still a bit raggedy here but things should look a lot clearer by day 9.

Leaders: Gurowake, DeRosa
Norizo -3
Pandaazuma -5
Choshu-Yuki -7
Chishafuwaku -13

If anyone else is tracking their score against mine (and hence against the others in this list), feel free to add their current projection.

Without consulting any data whatsoever, I'm projecting myself at +25 if I were on your list.

Ah, Scott...very sorry. I completely forgot to add you!

+25 it is!

Had checked your predicted numbers vs. mine and I guess (and hope) I will have 3 points more than you in the end if the current trend continues...

Man, that is a bummer with Hositori. That is one of the games I most enjoy checking every day, even when I'm doing bad.

You know you are in for a rough night when most the the matches picked for DST have your pre-basho picks.

Leader: DeRosa
Gurowake, Norizo -2

Scott, you can work out your and Andoreasu's projections by comparing them to mine. Ando looks to be your main rival for the Green Mawashi.

Just checked my score and compared it to Gurowake and Panda. Final projection sees myself 4 points behind Gurowake but 3 points ahead of Simon. This raises some hope for at least a few SB masters points. Calculations were made on a rather negative outcome for me, i.e. I might finish closer to Gurowake than to the Panda.

Minimum 2 wins on the remaining 4 days each from Takakeisho, Mitakeumi and Sokokurai would be very nice, 3 or more wins by the two Sanyaku would be great.

Is there any way to see how many perfect ties a player had in Sumo Game? Can't remember having many of those before, but I'm heading towards one (which I'm bound to lose).

There is no dedicated stat, but if you go to the highest scoring days, most of the 10-10s in history will be there. Of course then you would have to count them individually.

Welp! A 14 in Bench and my first 10 ever in SG, both for KKs! Woohoo! Along with wins everywhere else except Odd where I was going for long shots anyway. I am loving Sumo life! Which means I am probably going to get crushed tonight.  Oh well.

Same here, except that I didn't place a bet in Odd. B-)

In SG it will be interesting to see if Japanese players will be proven spectacularly right a little later today.

I've only looked around in makunouchi, but most players from outside Japan have Kakuryu in their lineups and I'm guessing no one Tochinoshin (who has a lot at stake of course).

However I noticed that both Norizo and Susanoo were confidently picking Tochinoshin, then checked to see if this was some kind of Japanese trend and found out that almost all other Japanese listed players Chankoyama, Natsunoyama, Hironoumi and Survivor were avoiding the bout.

So not exactly picking Tochinoshin but not picking at first, second and maybe third glance good favorite in Kakuryu either.

Fujiyama is the one exception going with Kakuryu like the gaijin!

Interesting!

And yes if I could I probably would pick Tochinoshin right now! Or at least avoid the bout (which did actually enter my mind a lil bit) (Beingunsure...)

Nope. B-)

But I admit, I had Tochinoshin in Toto.
