He is not actually employed now by the kyokai but outsourced. He's treated like a usual retired person here and like any ordinary Japanese he must get a pension - but did he also get the retirement money from the NSK already ?

I still haven't seen details about the "re-employment" contracts and the exact status (also in society) of the consultants, just that they are listed as the last under kyokai members/oyakata

Exactly, I see that by simply giving the things not ordinary from the article, I may have caused the wrong impression that the deshi have to train elsewhere because the shisho is doing other things:

The deshi of course don't go to degeiko alone and don't alone go to degeiko - at degeiko the shisho goes with them and they train at the heya as well.

This wouldn't happen with a detailed translation by Kintamayama (now where is the owabi moushi-agemasu emoticon)

The last festivity for the 50 year death anniversary of Futabayama, a memorial service was held today in Tokyo at the family temple, with about 50 members from the family and from the sumo world - the priest on the right (also in the pic above) is a grandson (36) of Futabayama, present head of the Buddhist sect church founded in Fukuoka pref. by Futabayama, the elder sister (45 - likely above the one next to the granddaughter with the Futabayama kimono) is a nun there.

Musashigawa-oyakata on the 26th with deshi held a sumo training course for members of the baseball, judo, volleyball etc. clubs at Kansai high in Okayama city, to have the sumo shiko stamping become part of basic training for other sports as well.
