Now about the first part of your post, indeed Bayern was probably one of the most difficult opponents Paris faced and the game was open to any result. That said claiming that Musiala's injury was the turning point is an easy excuse. If you see the images after his injury you can see how shocked was Hakimi as soon as he saw what happened and so was Donnarumma when he realized that Musiala was seriously hit. He kneeled and couldn't believe what happened. So the shock was both sides. Also, on the other side Paris could also claim how difficult it was to play that game while so many portuguese players (Neves, Vitinha, Mendes, Ramos...) were shocked by Jota's death and were mourning but still had to play. Musiala is a very good player but was coming back from an injury and was a starter in this competition only for the second time. Therefore we cannot pretend that all changed without him on the field. And anyway he didn't do anything conclusive during the 45 first minutes. I hope he'll come back as soon as possble though and I'm sorry for what happened to him. In Augsburg we (or at least I) wanted to have fun and no endless discussions about FFP and how shite the zillion dollar investments of some Arab or Qatari petro fantastillionaires are. Moreover, this discussion would have been boring for all others. But to be fair, there is one thing about PSG which I really appreciate. The fantastic Youth Academy 'producing' talent after talent. Unfortunately I could not watch the full match, but what I saw from Gnabry was really awful. We will never find out, but with Musiala Bayern COULD have won. Modest success in the past with only one highlight in 1996 winning the European Cup Winner's Cup. Just an average team with an unbelievable hooligan fanbase and many, many right-wing extremists in the fan scene culminating in a dramatic scenario in 2006 after a 2-4 home loss vs. Hapoel Tel Aviv! I won't go into details here. The success story started when in 2011 the club sold its poor soul to some Qatarian businessmen who pumped billion after billion into the club irrespective of any FFP. How on earth can you spend 222,000,000 € for Neymar jr. plus another 180,000,000 € for Mbappé in the same month? A club with only 45,000 visitors in average per home match? They were playing dirty tricks by selling average football players highly overpriced to some Saudi or Qatarian clubs, thus generating some earnings. No doubt these transfers were legal but everybody knew it was some dirty play in the background. PSG was fined numerous times for breaking FFP rules. No problem, your Qatarian cash cow is willing to pay every sum. @Athenayama Sorry my friend, you are simply supporting the wrong football club. PSG is just a 50 years old club ! You cannot compare it with century old clubs from other countries who had the time to construct themselves and create a history in European cups. Despite all that PSG reached the semi finals in European cups 5 times in a row (1992-1997) during the 90's with 2 finals including the win you mentioned.. You cannot call that just a modest success. Name me how many other teams did that in the 90's.... About hooligans are you trying to convince me that only Paris had? Do we really need to develop this subject? It would never end ! And this is the past anyway as things have completely changed since then in Paris. And just to summarize my thought..... idiots are EVERYWHERE unfortunately. And you should check your info better before developping them here. They never paid for Neymar and Mbappe in the same month. Mbappe's transfer was paid the year after to Monaco. They made a special agreement...... Only the jerseys they sold with these player's name on it, the millions and millions of followers they got in the social networks, the sponsors and advertisement they got from them (and you can include Messi x100 in all that) they compensated hugely the expenses. They got back their money without any problem. It is not THESE players who cost money. You always get your money back one way or the other. You can blame Qatar as much as you want (I'm not a fan either) but they are great businessmen. They bought the club 80 millions and it's worth now 4.25 billions ! So, yes they invested big money in the beginning but they're earning it back. And I blame YOU for making me write all that while I don't like to write ! Former average clubs being financed by dirty money that are now top world clubs. Most supporters of the other clubs (including me), would love some of that dirty money to come to their clubs and become a top world club too.
