So including myself and Achiyama, we now have 4 referees, so just need four more. The deadline is now 6 hours away, and 6 'signed up' players, and 2 of the reserves have not yet sent me their preferences for the representative teams. Below is the list of those fully signed up.... However, I have only received 29 preferences for their first choice (including from one of the reserves). I was hoping to get the Representation teams sorted this (Hong Kong) lunchtime..... But I will extend the deadline, (on this occasion) to early evening (Hong Kong time), to try and get three more players with choices.... But we only need two players, so sadly, Maguroyama, as his email came last, now becomes first substitute - which might have a good chance of being activated) if anyone misses the next deadline for submitting full squads. Pandaazuma only sent me two options, so he is out of them, and will join ScreechingOwl for the final two teams. So, for Kintamayama, let's go through his list.... His fifth choice is Bosnia-Herzegovina (I suggest that we shorten this country's name to 'Bosnia' - unless there any objections?) - and that's who he gets! Right, so that leaves us with Australia and the Ivory Coast. As Australia was the only unpicked country at the start, we'll make them the 'booby prize'.... So, let's roll for the Ivory Coast. Jejima 1,498 Posted June 4, 2014 Oh well, it is looking as if we will have to cancel the whole thing due to the lack of refiojis. Sorry about that. (I really don't want to do that, as I enjoy playing, but as a newly married man (6 months only), I have already spent too much time over the past week setting up this game..... ) When the next deadline comes up, we need to start sending our line-ups for the first round to the refiojis - but unless we have three more, that can't be done for every group. So, just in case anyone would like to reconsider (it is not difficult to do, and I'll give guidance, training to any new referees....), please can we have three more volunteers to help out this Bench World Cup. chabonowaka 2 Posted June 5, 2014 hi all! sorry about being slow about things. it's kind of what i do. i did want to follow up on Jejima's request for refiojis. he's right about it not being too terribly difficult. i mean, i've done it fairly successfully in the past, and i'm a moron. just ask my wife, she'll tell you. :) (i hope i don't overuse that joke.) seriously though, these games are always fun, and that newlywed fellow needs some assistance. and thanks Jezz for bringing this back!
