A bank that offers a 10% yearly interest rate, with 30 branches. He bought a circus for 300-400 million yen. 50 000 hectare to produce buckwheat / soba for export. Premises in the best location of Ulaanbaatar the size of 5 Tokyo Domes, where he plans to build something like Tokyo Midtown That he'll be president one day is seen as quite likely - he was already shown like one with heads of state: Putin and Xi Jinping
I am the Yokozuna 224 Posted December 12, 2018 Without doubting Asashoryu's business acumen and without denying the fact he has retired a very wealthy man, some of those business projects require much more money that he would have acquired during his professional sumo life. So, my question should have to do with the following: is there some information about his partners and investors?

ryafuji 825 Posted July 17, 2020 The Off-Topic forum is for "Casual discussion about topics not related to sumo." Does anyone else think that this isn't really the right place for news about a dai-Yokozuna, even if he's retired? I would never have noticed this were it not also posted in the "Sekitori Marriage" thread in Ozumo Discussions.
Akinomaki 41,900 Posted July 17, 2020 (edited) We still have no sumo related off-topic, so no longer NSK, former rikishi activities are all in off-topic: the general thread and also for Akebono, Konishiki, Harumafuji, Baruto, Osunaarashi etc. Edit: Takanohana is in Japan-Japanese discussion Edited July 17, 2020 by Akinomaki

My vote would be "Former rikishi activities". This is very specific and this category would fill up fast with information about the many rikishi who have retired, quit or been booted out. I don't like "Sumo Information" because it is a catch-all category. It's stated purpose is "Sumo information, frequently asked questions, past threads with popular/common/informative topics, etc"". It's really a "Miscellaneous sumo" category, a "mish-mash". There are so many former rikishi. They are NOT miscellaneous. They deserve their OWN category!
