Video is on. The cameraman has the camera pointed at the ceiling while he takes a break.

Shouldn't have changed the department. This internet computer is so slow I can't see anything (Sign of approval...)

well the movie stayed long enough to see the annoying jump of Wakanoho, better to go back to work.

Day 8, stream up 14:16 or so with Kotoyutaka-Takakoyama (possibly a bit earlier even), but the camera still pointed to the sky...

Edit: Useful images starting after the juryo dohyo-iri, 14:40.

I don't know who you're paying, but all I'm getting is yesterday's yumitorishiki, and it seems I'm not the only one..

Why is it that I can never connect until well after a data stream is reported here? It always works in plenty of time for the makuuchi dohyo-iri -- but right now, for example (15:25), when I try to connect I get about 20 seconds of what looks like the crowd starting to clear out immediately after yesterday's yumitori-shiki. I have certainly never been able to connect as early as anything in makushita.

Sounds like you are going in via the NSK site. They don't activate the connection from that site until makuuchi time. Observe the data stream (old-new) link at the top of the Sumoforum diisplay. Clicking the New link will get you connected earlier. Same link but ours will get you there as soon as they start streaming. The NSK site gets you there when NSK decides to let you in.

I don't think that's the problem, if Moti is seeing the same thing... Anyway, I don't have a clue what's wrong.

(BTW, I think clicking the "old" stream link won't get you anything these days.)

Actually I'M USING the "new" link of this forum to get the very same problem than Kuroyama !!!

I'm trying to connect using VLC, MPC AND WMP v.11 to no aval.

I even thought about a mysterious "PROXY CACHE" at my ISP doing bad its work but ... It seems the problem is at the other end (e.g. NSK or NHK)

Old has been dead for a year. May be time for a cleanup on the SF header.

Hmm, on second thought: Is your ISP making you use a proxy to connect to the internet? I've never heard about proxy caching causing problems with streamed data, but it would (conceptually) explain why you're seeing the last bits (no pun intended) of yesterday's data when you try to connect...

Edit: Typing too slowly again, Asysanyama just shot down that idea. Oh well.

Don't think it's been quite that long...maybe since March or May. Anyway, I misunderstood you; I thought "Clicking the New link will get you connected earlier" was meant to imply that the NSK site sends people to the old server.

Ditto for me. As far as I know my ISP doesn't use a proxy cache; or at least I don't see a proxy server configured at my end. I do use a router for my home network, so I connect to the Internet via NAT, but I wouldn't expect that to cause a problem.
