ilovesumo 12 Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) I just want you to see this guy I talked about before. Kyokushuho. He will be a number one! Shindeshi of Ooshima Beya. Here his first Ozumo bout. Versus the young Tamanoi guy. Guess he must have been Banzuke gai. Remember that Tooyama wrote about him being hospitalized for a long time. This young man will be the future! There had been children today. They sat in 2 groups and shouted the shikona of the 2 fighting rikishi. ;-) Edited May 26, 2007 by ilovesumo
Tikozan 4 Posted May 16, 2007 (Sigh...) Thanks for the video and the pics. Good quality.
Oimeru 0 Posted May 16, 2007 (edited) Here his first Ozumo bout. Versus the young Tamanoi guy. Guess he must have been Banzuke gai. Remember that Tooyama wrote about him being hospitalized for a long time. Fujiazuma is his shikona, if I remember correctly. Yes, he was banzuke-gai. I'm guessing Kyokushuho won it, then? Edit: Oops, did not realize that the last link is a video. Question answered. Edited May 16, 2007 by Oimeru
ilovesumo 12 Posted May 16, 2007 Day 4 It was Maezumo again. (In jonokuchi...) Kyokushuho The Gyoji-students from the last Basho finally have their debut. In the video of Kyokushuho you see the youngster of Naruto Beya. I wonder how the 2 new Gyoji will be added into the system. Now each had a Maezumo bout to lead. Will they just shorten the stint of the other ones or will one or two have to go? (Laughing...) Kyokushuho beside Jinmaku Oyakata (former Fujinoshin) Aran gained wight. Masumeidai...next Basho he must be ready for the Mage. Masunoyama Kyokutenzan (He lost today but from my point of view I did see him win...) Kaiho beside Nishikido Oyakata (former Mitoizumi) Hanakago Beya's Koryu beside former Oginohana, now Takasaki Oyakata Blood Tochiazuma and the others. Sadogatake Oyakata (former Kotonowaka) looks genki too. (Applauding...) Toki Oyakata with new sideburns. Elvis is back :-) Sendagawa Oyakata (former Akinoshima) A smiling Takanotsuru Oyakata Yamawake Oyakata (former Wakanoyama) (Laughing...)
Asashosakari 20,224 Posted May 16, 2007 (edited) Many thanks as always! (Laughing...) Is that five maezumo guys sitting in the second picture of Day 4? The yobidashi are partially covering the group in the back. Edited May 16, 2007 by Asashosakari

ilovesumo 12 Posted May 17, 2007 (edited) Day 5 Maezumo was great. Kyokushuho is 3-0 (Sign of approval...) Better fix it before ;-) Nichidai's Fukao was there today and I went over to tell him to ganbarize. Biiig fellow. :-) He sat over the hanamichi and then went out to meet Yamamotoyama after his bout. Hoshihikari lost again...I am sad and hope one of the great Oyakata of Hakkaku will tell him how to go on. I have been to Hakkaku more often then to the most other Heya and cause of the way it is constructed, you sit near the Oyakata there and can listen to their advise. It is great to hear them shout against the Hatakikomi-style.... Jinmaku Oyakata want's them all to move. He can't stand them just trying to look active ;-) video Hoshihikari-Sakaizawa Amuru Shin Maegashira about to fly :-) In the end I was located under the TV window and heard one say "Terao" ...turned my head and wow.......there he was 2 heads? (Whistling...) I can't remember any Basho without him...to loose him will also be a hard thing...sadly they have no clue how much they mean to us... It looks like he wins Kohai and Senpai :-) Sometimes very interesting to watch them handing the water... Edited May 20, 2007 by ilovesumo

ilovesumo 12 Posted May 18, 2007 (edited) Day 6 How can it be morning so soon...it seemes like time is running during a Basho..already day 7 today....oh... Masunoyama Gagamaru Hakuba On day 6...hm...highlight was the win of Kaiho and the one of Baruto over Wakanoho. Bart simply fixes the opponent and get him out moving foreward not to get the knee into danger. It works so far. Today's English-Japanese mix up Nr. 1 "Chotto excuse me" hehehe (Applauding...) More later, no time now sorry sorry Edited May 20, 2007 by ilovesumo

Kyokushuho was the first (and tallest, and successfullest) I was very close and could see the boy's breathing...oi, like me in front of my class, having to describe the damn maths homework at the blackboard ages ago (Applauding...) Video (Look at the picture of him above - isn't his "no weapons-pose" special? I like it. Like an eagle.) I like that pic... (Sign of approval...) Some drunk Japanese was (Sign of approval...) by Kinkayama and Takanotsuru... How much must a guy drink....jesus.... Videos Sougokurai (they say he is a chinese, but truth is, that he is inner mongolian- speaking mongolian, hanging with the mongolians (thanks to the one who cleared that up)) Li more coming soon (guess not today (Applauding...) ) From day 5 the promised bout of Hoshihikari-Sakaizawa.... Sanvean 0 Posted May 21, 2007 that Mongolian shindeshi is one strong looking fella !!!!!i am impressed by his built, and his look is so serious and confident. I am growing high expectations only by an image. I must say that these were my thoughts as well. :) He looks truly impressive, especially when compared with other shindeshi from that photo. Very well build and his face shows much self-confidence, composure and inner strengh... Gotta follow this one's career. ;) Anyway, great photos, ilovesumo!
