today Tamanoi was chief of the Nishiarai police station in Adachi ward

Tamanoi with the help of some of his rikishi distributed leaflets at JR Nishiarai station

Something worth watching after this: Demon kakka as chief of the Ueno police station in Taito ward, in proper uniform like Tamanoi

Wakanosato (Nishiiwa) look slimmer in uniform - today he was police chief at the Kuramae police station in Taito ward.

Nishiiwa was there with 4 of his recent recruits - 3 from Haru with short hair

Tamanoi was a proper police chief on the 6th, as usual in Osaka's Nishiyodogawa ward, where the heya stays - he's appointed almost every year

The heya posted a late video of it now, together with the now usual main part for every heya: sumo food

Something new for this thread: welfare commissioner for a day. There are not enough, Tamanoi on the 8th did PR for that at Adachi ward, where the heya is located, together with about 40 actual welfare commissioners.

Not only during asageiko, also as police chief Arashio oyakata lacks a certain dignity, which esp. Ikazuchi had

During the heya training camp in Shimosuwa, he was chief on the 20th at the Suwa police station

the heya is there regularly, but it's the first (and maybe last) time he got entrusted with this

Ikazuchi's dress uniform was exceptional compared to what had gone before. Nishiiwa and Tamanoi followed suit - almost literally.

I don't know whether Arashio is a man after my own heart and just too tight to fork out for something he may only wear once, or the NSK has received a polite memo requesting oyakata stop turning up in uniforms that put the actual police to shame, but the summer work uniform is fine by me.

To my eyes he has kind of a Benny Hill-ish look there. The salute photo only adds to that. As Akinomaki said, no exactly a serious look...

Word on the street is he was severely criticized for his cartoonish antics by another one of the participants, Arukuma https://yurukyara.fandom.com/wiki/Arukuma

Embodied dignity is Terunofuji, even though not in police uniform, but the usual suit, police chief today at the training camp location of his Isegahama-beya, Sakai, Osaka.

Duty was the appeal for traffic safety, at a campaign event for that with other heya members and ex-Isegahama

I think that's the first time I've seen a police chief in a mawashi, and nothing else (Blinking...). If it was me I'd ask Shodai to cover himself before handing him the sash. But clearly I lack the sense of the Japanese police...

The appointment ceremony for Isegahama - the not exactly fitting suit deducts a bit from his dignity

7 rikishi were there with him - that Miyagino was with them wasn't mentioned

We have to introduce a Sumo Forum Rikishi as Police Chiefs Dignity Index. The top rank would be someone like Wakanosato for example, and the bottom rank without contest Shodai. Other can fit in between like Terunofuji with a a slightly I'll fitting suit can be below Wakanosato, and Arashio a bit higher than Shodai.

No index, this is sumo, of course a banzuke

Terunofuji's suit may not be ill-fitting.

A man who is 'on the larger side' should do up at least one button.

Well, at least Shodai didn't wear the sash as a mawashi.

Don't give him ideas...
