A day. For some, that's a lot of money.

I agree, 12000 ¥ for a basho is simply too much money ...

NHK Premium here in New Zealand also showing ISIS news report... and NIJI still stuck on "Coming soon" though other lower channels working.

Sumo seems to be jinxed!!... thank god for IPhone App at least it keeps the results up to date. Haven't bought the Premium tanimachi, they want $4.99 NZ$ a month,

In the past, UBS would pick up the sumo when NHK would switch to a political or crisis coverage. Tonight, it is doing Mongolian song and dance.

Well, this is probably a big thing right now in Japan, so I can quite understand the breaking news interruption of Sumo. The Islamic State has released a video threatening to kill two Japanese hostages unless they receive $200 million within 72 hours.

I managed to upload a pretty good looking video today and in record time. I would like to thank Mr. GTB for this.

Hi guys

Just wanted to thank whoever posted that link to patch niji a couple of pages back .. helped fix my Niji from complete inaction to working perfectly (for now .. touch wood).

As someone who can't always watch the stream also I appreciate the community efforts led by Kintamayama to get the bouts up on youtube each day also.. great work.

VLC at my place can't recognize the Niji port 8190 any more. The http://127.0.0.1:8190/ doesn't work for me now. How does one find the port address?

Works for me as usual, so it has to be something on your end.

Found the flaw - my unstable system caused it - display worked, VLC just wouldn't record it. The error message is misleading - "VLC doesn't recognize the input format", but can show it. Edited by Akinomaki

Sumo is scheduled for 4:30 JST, should be on NIJI soon after - Tennis goes to NHK General-2, first time I saw that this sub-channel exists. Hopefully NIJI can cope with it.

Not for me it seems, I get a network error on login

I'm having an issue with Niji right now. Some red writing is popping up after I enter my login info which I assume is saying my password is wrong, but nothing has changed on my end. I even registered with a new e-mail and am still getting the same issue. Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I got by today, cobbling and improvising. Niji was perfect except for white writing top to bottom on the right side for the tennis fans, which eventually disappeared.
