Musashimaru starts own heya!

Recommended Posts

How can I watch it? it's a .rm-file. Doesn't seem to work with wmp or VLC player.

Assuming you don't want to install RealPlayer (and I can't imagine why anyone would), google for the Real Alternative codec.

I found it, downloaded it, then started the file "media player classic" (is that the right thing?) and this error here appears:

And it still doesn't work with VLC.

Well, it's nothing new for me. Some shit will never work for me I guess. I always have problems with various programs so I almost expected it won't work...

But why this error message? I don't know what it wants from me. Is there something missing so that I should download it? I don't understand that thing...

No idea about Media Player Classic, but it certainly should work with VLC. Have you rebooted your system after installing Real Alternative? I know it's not strictly necessary on modern OS's, but codecs can be flaky that way. Edited by Asashosakari

This is great news! Musashimaru was my favorite when I first saw sumo at 9-10 years old. Can't wait to follow is stable!

You mean for visitors? (I would hope they're going to do practice before Natsu as well...)

Not clear. It seems his incoming boys are training elsewhere so perhaps there is no pressure to train at the new heya.

That's it-final keiko at Fujishima beya, suitcases were moved, Musashigawa beya is now a fact. "Here we go..We've got to gambarize. Maybe I'll sleep with the guys in the big hall.. It's not an easy world, but I'd like them all to become strong and climb the ranks quickly, " said ex-Musashimaru, proud owner of his own new heya.

Signboard goes up today. "I'm really emotional. It's really looking like a heya now..'" said Musashigawa Oyakata, looking at the two-meter wide kanban signboard. He is the second ex-rikishi of foreign descent after Takamiyama (ex-Azumazeki Oyakata) to establish his own heya. "It's been 25 years since I've arrived in Japan. Me having my own heya??? I think I'm gonna cry.." said the Oyakata. Two rikishi, 2 recruits. "I'll teach them patience and effort and hopefully in 5 years I'll have my own sekitori.." he said. His 190/138 nephew was there as well. "I love sumo and hope to become a Yokozuna!" he declared.

D'oh, too slow! :-D Some more pictures from Musashigawa-beya today.

Front row from left is: Okamoto, Morimune, shisho, okamisan and Tokoken. Standing behind them are the two rookies who take part in maezumo in the Natsu basho (the shisho's nephew of course is the one on the left).

I'm living in Chiba for at least a year. If I called his stable (in english) do you think I could see a morning practice? I'd love to see his prospects and maybe see a future ozeki/yokozuna!

he mentioned that he would let folks to morning practice in June. calling or writing ahead is the way to go. i am hoping he has the same policy that Fujishima beya has.

Musa-oyakata on the 30th training the new Musa, first son of the younger sister of the oyakata.
mrt13050612000000-p2.jpg
Sankei already calls him Musashimaru II today: 187cm, 130 kg, grip power: right 63kg, left 60 kg, back muscle strength 155 kg, no sumo experience (in Hawai Am. football), but training in Fujishima-beya since last June. He names the usual goals: "First of all sekitori, then yokozuna."
Reason for entering: "Because I like sumo." "Living in Japan is enjoyable and I also love chanko."
Oyakata advice: "Eat a lot." - since coming to Japan in June he lost 10 kg - also because of the training.
He hardly can push back the oyakata, who lends his chest in keiko. "Though over 40 the oyakata is still strong."

With the shin-deshi kensa he is coming closer to his first dohyo appearance: "It was a long way until now. It's a good feeling."
"I aim to become a rikishi like the oyakata and do my best."

Comparing to the post then, he not only lost 13 kg but also 4 cm.
