Athenayama is being too modest. Only he can defeat Jakusotsu for the Golden Boot - but it will require a very exciting match between England and Spain for him to do so..... (Something like Spain scores in minutes 5 and 32, then England score in minutes 51 and 90+5 and then either team scores in 111 would work *if* Athenayama predicted all five correctly before his chain breaks, and with Fujiko (who is currently not in a mood for making her line-up - too much packing up the house today! - I'll ask her again tomorrow ;-)) having her chain breaking early, and not being able to counter any of Athenayama's shots, allowing him to win 5-0..... thereby equalling Jakusotsu for goals, but winning on goal difference. Does that make sense?

Does that make sense? Yeah, that's about what I got to, too. Which again, would be a fun match to watch :P (Especially given the goalless draw that we just watched last night.) Good luck with moving! Thanks Achiyama for your work as refioji these last two rounds. Congrats! Fully deserved as I was droning, so I guess it's the correct decision. (Based on your PK takers, I see you've got good judgment, too . I'm surprised I ever put Germany before England on ANY PK list, that might've been just after England got stomped by France.) Pitinosato 126 Posted July 24 4 hours ago, Athenayama said: Golden Gloves Standings after the Quartefinals : (the 8 players on the plane home are removed from these standings) No changes on top. To be there you need to have only clean sheets ! And the two with only clean sheets will face each other in the EURO FINAL ! Progression Player GA Diff, 1 = Kimyama 0 (+8) 2 = Pitinosato 0 (+7) 3 = Athenayama 3 (+8) 4 (+3) Jejima 3 (+1) 5 = Baku 4 (+4) 6 = Achiyama 5 (-1) 7 (+3) Ryoshishokunin 6 (-2) 8 (+1) Fujiko 7 0 So if I want to win the Golden Gloves I have to win the Cup-Final (without Penalties)
Jejima 1,479 Posted July 24 1 minute ago, Pitinosato said: So if I want to win the Golden Gloves I have to win the Cup-Final (without Penalties) Jejima does a quick calculation in his head to see if either Athenayama or Jejima can take the Golden Gloves.... ...and they can't. So, yes. Just the win the Cup Final, in either 90 or 120 minutes, and the gloves are yours. Otherwise, they are Kimyama's
Jejima 1,479 Posted July 24 (edited) I am not 100% sure - but I don't remember any player going 100% clean sheets in any prior competition - so that is something to aim for too Edit: Just checked. The best Golden Gloves to date is from the very first competition, when just one goal was let in. So, a 100% clean sheet would be a first. Jakusotsu 6,321 Posted July 27 Bench Euro 2025 Cup Finals - Line-ups I'm sure both players won't want to change anything, so here goes: Pitinosato: 1. Spain (5), 2. Spain (4), 3. Spain (3), 4. England (S) (5), 5. Spain (2), 6. Spain (1), 7. England (1), 8. England (2), 9. England (3), 10. England (4) Comment: The big final !!! I've never been in a Cup-Final before (I think) So what to do ??? Both players have not conceded a single goal, wouw ! So I am pretty sure this one will be a close call, with very few goals Even though I have one more team - but the outsider Team in the real match Defense wins titles - so let's go and keep that clean sheet !!! vs. Kimyama: 1. Spain (4), 2. Spain (2), 3. Spain (5), 4. Spain (1), 5. Spain (3) Comment: Et Viva España ! Bonne finale à tous !

Nekonishiki Banji 402 Posted July 27 Bench Euro 2025 Plate Final Achiyama (Belgium) 1 vs Baku (Spain) 0 And this is the end of the final. Baku’s chain was broken very early, Achiyama could save one more slot, and still had time to score a goal with Spain’s win. So the Bench Euro 2025 Plate goes to Achiyama! Omedeto! It was a great two weeks, I had a vacation, could watch live sumo every day, enjoyed these great football matches. Thanks a lot to all participants, see you next year.
