The guy gives a damn about tradition, looking like Kaio instead of Kaiho.

Wakatakakage gets a new kesho mawashi with the lucky bird owl - the owl (fukurou) invokes good luck (fuku)

The golden owl above a deep blue sky and 15 (not white but golden) shiroboshi (wins) - as sekiwake no kinboshi

They rotate in a spiral to the right, corresponding to Wakatakakage's migi-yotsu as a strong-point, the stars are 4 pointed, to represent his skilful sumo (I guess, stable in all directions).

Donor is Tokyo Sekkai Kogyo (lime industries) co., ltd. 東京石灰工業 - Toseki - they have an owl flying at the start of the video running on their front page https://toseki.com/

Actually both brothers today got one in the same design from the Toseki president, after Wakatakakage returned to the heya from degeiko to Ajigawa-beya. Both with the hope for 15-0, but Wakamotoharu's specialty is hidari-yotsu, so his stars rotate to the left and his unbalanced occasionally clumsy sumo is represented by 5 pointed stars https://hochi.news/articles/20250910-OHT1T51307.html?page=1

- rectangular (4 pointed 4つ角 yotsu kaku->4角 shikaku) like for Wakatakakage derives from right (form - seihoukei, square - and fair)

What if Wakatakamoto gets into Juryo? Will his kesho mawashi be 6-pointed stars?

Nishinoryu was there with Furiwake (Myogiryu), who has the danpatsushiki after the basho. Father ex-makuuchi, but Nishinoryu  started with sumo in his 2nd year middle school, after he switched to Saitama Sakae in September that year. He's the 33rd sekitori from the school.

Wakatakakage like his brother should have entered with this excellence and 15-0 hope kesho mawashi on day 1

Hakuoho's new kesho mawashi gets "kawaii" comments in the social media (not the least kawaii though how he looks wearing it) - the recent rikishi food design, in manga style, painted by comedian NegoSix / Neg06

Donated by Akasaka Raimon, showing 2 rikishi eating yakiniku at that BBQ restaurant

Instead of the new 15-0 kesho mawashi, Wakatakakage uses another of those too kawaii ones, which makes it a favourite in the social media.

f_19486947.jpg

- rikishi with kawaii kesho mawashi usually don't look pleased when they wear it in public - if at least the sunflower had 15 petals it might have some auspicious effect, but it has 16

The gap between the too kawaii design and the stern sumo of Wakatakakage makes it popular among the SNS posters.

He got it from actress and writer Utsumi Midori
