I never had the intent to humiliate him. For the record I was talking solely about the implicit "meaning" of his sentence, not any "grammar" errors.

IMO that's a nice example of Forum communication gone awry. If it were me to decide, I would have deleted this entire exchange, but since the participants felt that this was somehow worth making public, I'll leave it as it is (though moved to off-topic).
For the record: of course it is not nice making fun of other Forumer's English. However, I don't think that it is necessary to answer with spelling nitpicks which lead to a rather pointless banter. In the end more people have a bad mood than necessary. Therefore it is generally suggested to have such discussions via PM. Thank you.

I think you can safely delete the whole exchange. I don't recall the "participants" feeling this was worth making it public. One "participant" simply suggested a title for the new thread, when asked.. As for the nitpicking, one "participant" felt it was quite necessary to prove a point, I guess.

In the very end everything ended well with the other participant doing the right thing. (I am not worthy...)

I also don't think anyone got a bad mood from reading the exchange, since probably NOBODY read it, and if they did they probably found it rather tedious like you did.

Kinda grew up being a part of this forum. When I joined in 2002 I was still a kid. In those days I couldn't understand most of it.

My English is still a mess, but the wish to understand this forum (and so Sumo) made me study. Reading and writing here was practice.

Nobody's perfect. That's all I can say.
