Today it's Kotomitsuki's birthday. (Birthday!)

So the theme of the blog is: "Happy birthday boss!"

After the practise Kotomitsuki celebrated hs birthday with all members of the heya. (And I don't need to mention that Kotoshogiku loved the cake :-P )

Kotoshogiku plays birthday cake by his own, ge congratulates Mickey and say that he respects him a lot. Also good wishes of Kotomyozan and the Shikimori.

Shoki thanks for the good wishes for his blog, he will go on with it and he asks for support as always.

A truck is loaded with all stuff from the junyo tour.

Spring jungyo ended, a lot of people came to watch it and there will be another jungyo after Natsu Basho.

In their free time they went to a karaoke bar to have a little singing "contest".

First ones are the shikomori and Kotokashiwadani

followed by Kotodaishin and Kotomyozan

Backstage at Fuji TV

Kotoshogiku and Toyonoshima took part in a TV program which will be broadcasted in Japan on the 4th of May. Among other things he presented his blog their too.

And it wouldn't be Kotoshogiku if he wouldn't show us some more food ;-)

There were also other athletes who took part, a volleyball player, a racing cyclist and the last nice young lady is an ice scater with a cute smile, Shoki says :-)

first all old tawari must be taken out, and even the ozeki (and ladykiller) Kotooshu takes part in working

As always great photos and captions. The close up of Giku shows no lump on his forehead, Yet on all 8 DVD's of the last 8 basho's the lump can be seen clearly. Do you have any idea as to why?

Natsu Basho banzuke was announced.

Kotoshogiku is Sekiwake west, he aims Kachi koshi and will fight to make it to even more.

A glad looking Kotokasuga, who is engaged now. Kotokasuga says now everything is double joy for him and he will ganbatte of course.

A little refreshment for Shoki. Who wants wo win has to eat (On the banzuke...).

Kotoshogiku introduces his new tsukebito. It's Kotokobai, like him, he is from Fukuoka. There is a change of tsukebito every 4 months usually, the oyakata decides about it.

Kotomyozan will be the new tsukebito of Kotooshu.

Kotomisen is up to makushita again :-) he will do his best and beat everyone (I am not worthy...).

Something about Kotokobai (thanks to THE DATABASE), who aims to be a sekitori.

This is Kotokobai's younger brother who took over his old shikona Kotoumeda. They were 7 children at home. Kotoumeda started his career in March this year. Kotoshogiku thanks Kotoumeda's mother. He says the boys will have a good training and when she will meet them again their sumo will be stronger and their body and heart will be grown.

(The boy's mother is in the Kokugikan every basho for one or two days, a really nice woman.)

Today there was degeiko at Tokitszukaze stable and it seems Kotoshogiku returned very hungry.

Kotomisen found something better than rice in the fridge, something much more delicious for him :-)

Kotoshogiku promised a while ago to introduce (my adoptee ;-)) Kotomisen a bit more and now it's time for it.

Kotomisen is back to Makushita for the second time (hope he stays there a bit longer than last time).

Again, thank you Fay. Real nice of you. I had a similar lump on the left side of my head from a 'street fighter days'. It takes a few months or a year or so to heal itself out. Some people go for the surgery straightaway. I chose not to. It's really an embarrassment, everybody asks what it was and I had to explain the every dame time. Not to mention I've been camera shy for the most of the time. I don't know why it takes so long to heal. Maybe our local 'Frankie' Kakitsune Makato could explain a lot better.

A former Sadogatake rikishi visited the stable. It was Kotosurugi (highest rank Sd 46) who is now a cartoonist.

Kotoshogiku presents a little book about the food of the professional sumo wrestlers with a lot of drawings from former Kototsurugi.

Mainly results from Kotoshogiku in the past 15 days.

He was all worn out after his last fight with Futeno, but he could beat him and got his KK. ;-) ;-) (Laughing...)

Kotomisen was not so lucky, he endet 2-5 but his other tsukibito Kotokobai could finish with another KK.

So yesterday there was a day off.

Kotokobai's younger brother participated in the practise today while Shoki is playing with a turtle :-O and shows some congratulations.

And he invited his best (and nicest :-P ) fan for dinner tomorrow :-) and brings Kotomisen with him (Help me...)

I'm still thinking this is a little joke from Kotomyozan, who hacked Shoki's account, but wouldn't be this nice too ;-)

Kotoshogiku went bowling last night with some Sadogatake guys and Kotomisen won the competition.

And not exactly his blog but he already threatened me to show a pic, so I anticipate it :-)

He invited me to dinner and it was such a nice and funny evening ...

All weight I might have lost in the last 2 weeks is back again after this evening. We had some appetizers, grilled fish, duck, lobster, noodles, fried rice, noodle soup, icecream, fruit .... and all the time I said, please that's enough he or Kotokobai took the rest of my plate. And they ordered some more plates for them. (Laughing...)
