Zenjimoto 40 Posted May 3, 2003 I know for sure, Tachiyama is younger than you! :) Cheers Zenjimoto
Yubiquitoyama 4 Posted May 3, 2003 Although as Zenjimoto says, you are not youngest here, I think it's pretty safe to say that this forum has a higher medium age than many (most? ) webforums out there (Shaking head...) I must say that I think that's a good thing since it means there are NONE of the usual "hate hate hate Choyitaikaii anyone likes him stooopid" kind of posts :-)
Zentoryu 154 Posted May 3, 2003 I must say that I think that's a good thing since it means there are NONE of the usual "hate hate hate Choyitaikaii anyone likes him stooopid" kind of posts I tend to agree. I was just on the SciFi channel's forum to find out info about the apparent cancellation of one of their shows. The sheer stupidity of some of the posts was laughable, not to mention the vulgarity. People can't spell and don't know how to show the least amount of dignity and respect towards one another's opinions. It makes me sick sometimes. (Shaking head...) It also makes me thankful to have a forum like this one, where we can have disagreements (which sometimes get pretty heated) but talk about them with some degree of intelligence. And people have well thought out opinions as well. :-)
Kaikitsune Makoto 209 Posted May 4, 2003 The age distribution of top 20 posters ranges from 19 to 47. Quite a few 25 something members in this group comprising the biggest individual age group (24-29). 7 of top 20 posters belong to this group if I am not mistaken. 30-39 group has at least 5. Then if I am not mistaken the youngest population (19-23) has 6 representatives. One 40+ and one about whose age I don't have a clue at the moment (Shaking head...) The only occasion where a member has been lost due to some form of verbal conflicts was a mild case in itself and I am sure our Rijicho is very proud of us in this sense that we behaved well, we don't brain fart too much and we even obey most rules! :-)

Kaikitsune Makoto 209 Posted May 6, 2003 (edited) I don't doubt your numbers, Kaikitsune-zeki, but I am curious as to how they were obtained? Lot of "old-timers" in sumo sense so hard not to know the ages. Profiles helped too with some newer ones. Then of course sophisticated psychologic age profiling based on private eye detectives following all top 20 posters 24 hours a day (including dream scans) wherever, whenever and in whatever means of transportation they might go....
