Asashosakari 19,694 Posted Monday at 20:18 @Andoreasu If you don't mind me asking, is kohadak (listed as first participation) different from Kohada koheiji who played in the previous edition?

The more general scenario would require some manual work, but I certainly can't remember a case of a joi rikishi getting jumped by someone from a lower rank who's behind them by the numbers when this isn't required by basic banzuke-making rules. It feels like somebody just said "Let's kick Chiyoshoma out of the joi" and the rest replied "Sure, why not". I can't say for sure. There are certain differences between them, but there is also a strong indication that these are the same person.

Wakawakawaka 162 Posted Wednesday at 14:52 If double-digit records you mean? 1) Okisuruga - 19 2) Hamanoyama - 13 3) Asashosakari (x2), Feginowaka, Kurausu, Kyokuhagyo, Reonito - 10 9) Oshirokita, Okisuruga, Kaito, Pandaazuma - 9 Longest active streak is Asset with 7.

I think he means double digit rank - in other words, finishing in the top 99 players. It’s an interesting cutoff to choose because Goshobiyama finished 100th this basho.

Yes that was 2 separate streaks by the same Okisuruga. The 25 basho one was actually without any 8-7's even.
