Kotoroiwa 70 Posted March 18, 2024 (edited) There is this young chap called Heikki Ranta, who has created musical pastiches on YouTube during the last few years. He selects an established Finnish artist or band, analyses their most typical peculiarites and creates a new song that often sounds surreally similar to the original style. He's brilliant, but since an international audience isn't aware of, say, Nurmio's or Leskinen's peculiarities, what's the point in introducing him? Well, now there is a reason. Not bad. 1) Unlike many such bands (Say, the Righteous Brothers or the Walker Brothers), they are really brothers. 2) They are singing in a very obscure Finnish dialect, but I think I can pick up some of the lyrics.
