kedevash 44 Posted March 1, 2013 Hello all I'm Philippe. I'm 28. I live in France. I'm a big fan of sumo since 2006. The first basho i see on tv was the last won by a Japanese rikishi, Tochiazuma II. Since then, i follow sumo closely. I now have a collection of 600 dvds of each basho since 2006. This collection becomes to take place in my house :-) . I also make a personnal banzuke and a rikishi profil with exel. I don't know how i can upload some to show you my work. If someone can tell me that i take it. In 2010 i went to Japan to visit Tokyo Kyoto ect... I also attend to some keiko in tokyo before the basho. Tokitsukaze ; Satogatake and Kasugano. I met some rikishi! What a dream come true. After that i went to 7 days of the Natsu basho. Stay all day to see the lower divisions boots ect... What an experience !!! Next september i will be back in Japan with my wife this time. And of course i have plan to attend some keiko and to one day of the aki basho ( my wife is not a fan of sumo as me) So I will be sooo please if someone could bring me to some keiko and meet rikishi! My favourite rikihi are Harumafuji ; Hakuho ; Myogiryu ; Toyonoshima and Yoshikaze. I also follow closely Isegahama beya and my little favorite Terutsuyoshi. In my Topic tile i have mention "sumo" magazine. I don't find a way to get it so can somebody can buy it for me and send it to France. I can pay you via Paypal or something else too. Thanks to have read me and i looking foward to talk to you guys !!!

Swami 245 Posted March 3, 2013 Hearty salutations from the Swami! Since the demise of Sumo World, I have greatly missed a publication for English-language sumo fans, although I suspect with all on-line advancements, perhaps there isn't the demand for hard copy magazines any more. Swami 245 Posted March 4, 2013 Are you interested in old issues? If so, message my your mailing address. Sumo World still exists, just no one distributes it. I have all issues from January 1980 until early 2001, then there was a gap, the last remaining issue I have was relating to Asashoryu's promotion to yokozuna. I'll have a think about it.
