Is it improper to suggest '7' for the tsuyuharai and 'BAR' for the tachimochi?

It didn't cross my mind until you mentioned it. Amazing how things can get swept under the rug, even while they're ongoing.

Betting on the gee-gees is one of the few legal outlets for gambling in Japan, though, and this is Nishonoseki's golden boy. I suspect much leeway is being given.

A new set for Hoshoryu, from heya sponsor Fulltime System, inspired by the world heritage Shimogamo shrine in Kyoto. The yokozuna with the mythical bird Luan, the tachi-mochi with a komainu and the tsuyu-harai with a shishi

Now Hoshoryu needs to get Shishi for tsuyu-harai to have the perfect dohyo-iri.

New ocha-zuke nori kesho mawashi for the Nagatanien boys from Isegahama-beya. Takerufuji is now a fix member of the CM team, he just made a CM appearance contract with Nagatanien. Atamifuji has one,  o - the new oyakata had one, but that maybe wasn't renewed

On the topic of yokozuna mawashi sets, onosato has a buddhist themed set and hoshoryu has a shinto themed set, is this the affiliation of their heya or is it just a fan club choice?

Donor/supporter choice - and usually they ask the yokozuna about his design  preferences. Buddhist or shinto doesn't matter in Japan, it's more or less one mixture there

At last his own set - Onosato today got a yokozuna set from heya main sponsor AI Komuten (Osaka based), at the city hall where the heya lodgings are located they provide, AI base AIchi in Anjo city.

The yokozuna is the rising sun above the Fuji, the attendants raijin-fuujin, the gods of thunder (tsuyu-harai) and wind (tachi-mochi)

I don't know when he got it, but Wakamotoharu has a unique kesho mawashi - with a lion sketch, but without any name from whom he got it, the logo-like mark next to the lion may give some hint, but it isn't clearly visible  o

Abema is quick on commenting on new or special kesho mawashi by popular rikishi in the dohyo-iri: Wakamotoharu after his surprise appearance on NHK's taiga drama Berabou is one of those. After his kinboshi on day 2, in a golden kesho mawashi on day 3 - Abema doesn't mention that he uses it since day 1. New this basho, apparently so new that the donor name couldn't be added in time - Abema or the fans who commented haven't noticed that detail yet. Golden is only the lion on it, his mane is a peony flower - Wakamotoharu had requested gold and peony for the design, created by manga artist and illustrator Monta Fukushima, who does a manga diary for the heya https://arashio.net/comics/

KazekenO at the inauguration event of his new koenkai in his hometown, Seiyo, Ehime, got a new kesho mawashi: showing a sumo bout bout of Mikyan, the mikan (satsuma mandarin) mascot of Ehime, vs Seibo, the mascot of Seiyo, the city of 乙亥 Otoi-ozumo. The event was held in the Otoi hall, which looks like a small kokugikan from the outside.

He wants to use both alternately, the new one at the start. It had cost about 3 million yen, 500 000 are from city, the rest from sponsors and individuals in the new koenkai.   o

The old one has KazekenO written on it, the new one Otoi 乙亥, KazekenO is now on it in the name of the personal koenkai. About 200 fans were at this first meeting.

Today the Fuji kesho mawashi was presented to Onosato at the heya location in Fukuoka by the town mayor of Fujisaki. The Fuji apple design is in that of the Japanese flag, with the purple fringe and tassels reserved for Y/O. The koenkai will start in December - it is rare to have one where there is no local or family connection.

After 4 basho this kesho mawashi disappears into storage - the local koenkai had collected the 2 million yen to make it from the townspeople -a set costs at least 5 million yen, a big sum for the small town (14 000 inhabitants). At least Onosato wore it several times.

Maybe not, Onosato might get a set from Fujisaki, but apparently not with this one - he had a party to celebrate yokozuna promotion today in Fujisaki, Aomori, the day before the Aomori basho

Doesn't look that expensive, a rather simple fabric, but a special design. The sun for the yokozuna who shall cast light (on the dark sumo world). Usually a set has no shikona on it, this one implies it as another motto for Onosato, 我即宇宙 宇宙即我 I exist in the universe and the universe exists in me - searching for it gives it as the reverse of a phrase by reiki founder Usui (no links, may lead to religious context). The earth, not the moon is for the tachi-mochi, a close-up on Ishikawa and Niigata pref., with a design to have his hometown Tsubata and his school town Itoigawa glitter. With soul written on it, tamashii 魂. The moon has some quietness 静寂.

No information yet about the set, Onosato was using so far at the jungyo - only the tachimochi piece is always in proper view, but the other 2 look similar, with the donor name Muta written in the kanji form yume/mu tatsu 夢達 on the one for the yokozuna - he brought it from Nagoya, where the headquarters of the parent company of Muta-Japan are located, and the company boasts with the concept "luxury and unique" https://muta-japan.com/pages/company - just the thing for the unique and never again yokozuna

If this will become the standard design of the high school remains to be seen: showing Odawara castle, the city flower plum blossoms and the school building, the whole scene as seen from Odawara station.

Onokatsu's classmate ocean hero Kyokukaiyu 旭海雄  today got his kesho mawashi in the same design from Asahigaoka 旭丘  high school at the campus in Odawara, but a bit more ocean blue in the back

The 2nd now from the school, their Mongolian program bears fruit. More to come - esp. for kohai Ochir, who enters now and is expected to fly to juryo - 2 others from Iseghama are in jd and new jk Takahara is from the school.
