Sashohitowa 6 Posted January 2, 2011 Hello and Happy New Year! (Holiday feeling...) HERE you can find the latest status of our virtual stables. There was a (very) little movement since the last basho in terms of overall points. This is due to the lack of big jumps or falls in the ranks banzuke-to-banzuke. In fact, we have only +1 and -1 point moves coming from all rikishi, with the exception of Kotokensei (-2 pts for Asashosakari), the rookie Chiyoo (+2 pts for Kotoviki and Achiyama) and, of course, the shin-sekitori Fujiazuma (+3 pts for Holleshoryu). So it all balances out more or less. If this is a one-time effect or a tendency of wall-heating, we'll see in March. There is little movement in the group of temporary leaders, althoug that all of them suffer a decrease in their score (except Crall who holds his 78). Sashohitowa is still leading with 86 points (-4 b/b), Flohru (85 pts, -1 pts b/b) overtakes Oshirokita (83 pts, -3 b/b) for the second place. Crall is fourth, and Yamaneko (72 pts, -3 b/b) is fifth. In terms of ranks movement, it is again in the middle of the table where the biggest shuffles take place. Bunijiman climbs 5 positions to 13th place thanks to his +3 pts banzuke-to-banzuke while Torafuji and Itachi take a 3-positions drops to 17th and 18th respectfuly. Even with the small movements and only 2 newbiew in the Juryo division, we have a player (namely, Holleshoryu) "owning" one of them (namely, Fujiazuma), so he receives an extra place in his squad by the tsukebito-rule. Congratulations! For the upcoming basho: As mentioned, new tsukebilto slots is open for Holleshoryu for having Fujiazuma The following players have open spots from previous bashos: Yamaneko Bunijiman Bogdanyama (2) Fuseigou Fatakiyama (2) Kasamatsuri Crall Takanorappa Holleshoryu Itachi (4) The following players have intai-ed rikishi in their heya, which can be replaced with a HJk: liclic - 3 - (Ozakiumi, Teraonami and Hanaoka) Bogdanyama - 2 -(Kunigami and Tatsuhibiki) Fuseigou (Chiyoryusei) Fatakiyama (Yamada, but not the shin-deshi one) Kasamatsuri (Tatsuhibiki) Takanorappa - 4 slots (Ozakiumi, Sanada, Kotonakai, Kameiyama) [new] Fay (Sadanosho) Itachi (Nakanoumi) Players "owning" a banzuke-gai rikishi: [new] Sashohitowa, Asashosakari and Doitsuyama have Kengo. Here is a copy/paste of Azumashida's last post with the rules and FAQs, only the links with the lists are updated: A reminder of the rules for those who would start now and those who don't remember everything: Stable Development Game: The Rules Form a virtual heya by selecting on the current banzuke: 1 rikishi whose highest career rank is in juryo (we'll call any such rikishi HRJ) 2 rikishi whose highest career rank is in makushita (HRms) 3 rikishi whose highest career rank is in sandanme (HRsd) 4 rikishi whose highest career rank is in jonidan (HRjd) 2 rikishi whose highest career rank is in jonokuchi (HRjk) (Send your picks to me using the "send e-mail" option from SumoForum) FAQ1: Each player can select the rikishi they want from each category, there is no system in the game to prevent players from picking the same rikishi. FAQ2: If for some reason you would rather want to keep some of your slots open, it is possible, but be aware that in any basho after Hatsu 2009, each individual open slot will only give you the possibility to recruit one HRjk. In other words, keeping slots open will not give you any advantage. FAQ3: Any player can start or restart the game at any given time over the total period of five years. Then, for each basho: if you do nothing between the release of the new banzuke and the beginning of the corresponding basho (edit: deadline is shonichi 8am JST), you keep these same rikishi in your heya. However, when any new banzuke is released, and at any point between the release of the banzuke and the beginning of the basho (edit: i.e. shonichi 8am JST), there are the following exchange possibilities: - you can replace any one rikishi (or open slot) in your selection by one HRjk of your choice - you can replace any two rikishi (and/or open slots) in your selection by one HRjd of your choice - you can replace any three rikishi (and/or open slots) in your selection by one HRsd of your choice - you can replace any six rikishi (and/or open slots) in your selection by one rikishi - of your choice, if there is any choice - who is makushita tsukedashi for this basho (mstd) - you can combine the above operations as you like (e.g. replace 3 of your rikishi with 1 HRjk and 1 HRjd, or replace 5 of your rikishi with 1 HRjd and 1 HRsd, etc.) FAQ4: These exchange possibilities are also valid for Hatsu 2009, i.e. you can change your initial selections before the beginning of the basho

Vikanohara 171 Posted January 8, 2011 I can't do that much than hoping for a Juryo promotion soon. And I won't be giving up on a couple of high Sandanme ones to get me a Jonidan or lower hope. Who knows by next basho I've got all but one from my stable in Makushita ! B-)
Asashosakari 19,687 Posted January 8, 2011 I'm dropping Kotokensei in favour of Ikeru, although I have the same suspicion as Flohru. (Gonna hold on to Nogami and banzuke-gai Kengo for a bit longer...)

Vikanohara 171 Posted May 5, 2011 Will this go on ? I don't have to transfer out retired rikishi, but I reckon some of us need to, no ? It's remarkable by the way that my squad is ranked almost identical as they were by the start of Kyushu 2010.

Sashohitowa 6 Posted May 6, 2011 Guys, sorry that I didn't update for the current banzuke -- I thought that we won't have available shindeshi information in order to make changes in the squad. But please feel free to send me any updates you might want to plug in your squads. I will post the updated picture next week.
