One could easily get the wrong idea here. It could just be the money.... that is a lot of money he won't be getting as tsukebito for Asa. Not to mention the times Asa handed him 30,000 or more that I saw for him to take someone else out.... Yeah, losing money could be like breaking up with your girlfriend!! He has been Minanosato's stand-in and has experience doing it during jungyo. It is a rare case lately that the YRK doesn't hail from a reigning Yokozuna's heya, but it's not a rule. "I don't usually get nervous so it will be OK. I don't think I will drop the bow..", he said, alluding to Minanosato's mishap last basho, which may or may not have expedited the decision to find him a replacement. Kotoviki 16 Posted May 7, 2010 Minanosato trained with him during the jungyo.... and I must say he is ok but he is not nearly as good as Minanosato was!!! For the record Minanosato was not "fired" over his mishap or the fact that Asashoryu retired. He was able to do the yumitori until September however he wanted to give it up to concentrate on sumo instead. Although Chiyonohana was his stand in Minanosato had never been kyujo so he has little experience. I wish him luck but I won't be as set on watching every day until after the yumitori to leave now..
