Harry 67 Posted February 8, 2009 Because my oyakata was introduced to my father in Japan / supporter's association leader Kohei Komakisan, this sort of great party was made possible so I am very happy.親方と日本のお父さん・後援会長の小巻公平さんを招待してこんなすごいパーティが出来たことが、すごいうれしい。 My oyakata and my father in Japan/supporter's association leader Mr Kohei Komaki were invited, and I am so happy that we could have this kind of great party. Thanks, I blew that one... I knew it was invite, not introduce but somehow lost it in the whole meaning.

Sasanishiki 57 Posted February 18, 2009 It took me quite a while to read them all!時間のあるときによんでるよ I read them when I have time. That reminds me, I wrote about this time drinking sake getting a sore throat, in fact, that was a cold!そういえば、この間酒を飲んでのどが痛いって書いてたけど、あれ、風邪だったよ。 That reminds me, recently I wrote about having a sore throat after drinking, but it turned out to be a cold! Mongolia was cold and, the trip was exhausting.モンゴル寒かったし、疲れてたからかなぁ。 It's probably because Mongolia was cold and I was tired The past tense + kara means "it was because of ..." and the ka naaa means "I suppose", and this follows on as teh reason why he got the cold in the first place. At the Kokugikan I had to buy this, eh?これ国技館で売ってるらしいね。 It seems they are selling these at the Kokugikan.

tummai 0 Posted May 20, 2009 May 20, 2009 (11th day) Thanks to you guys, I ran out of fingers. :) 11 wins! Thanks for getting excited about my match. I borrowed my attendant Toukata's finger. Doitsuyama 1,263 Posted May 20, 2009 I borrowed my attendant Toukata's finger. [trans: not sure about the reading of the name] I think he is referring to Isenohana whose real name is Munakata where the kanji for muna can also be read as tou if you insist. tummai 0 Posted May 25, 2009 May 25, 2009 Day After Yuushou I had so much fun drinking sake last night that I don't even remember it! I drank too much! Hahahaha. I had a post-yuushou interview this morning. This is a picture of me at 10am after I changed back into my clothes. After that I took my mom to the airport. I'm glad I could do my parents proud by winning the championship. Now that the tournament is over, I should be able to relax a little bit. Thanks for your comments everybody! Jejima 1,498 Posted May 25, 2009 In the UK, this 'reverse V-sign' is a little rude.
Takamizakura 1 Posted May 25, 2009 Doubly rude, in fact. Slightly off-topic, but for the UK local elections, the UKIP have put up billboards with Winston Churchill giving the double-V like Harumafuji. Anyway, thanks for the blog translations!
