Hashira 0 Posted August 30, 2003 i think it's pretty self-explanatory, who do you think will do better in aki: Kaio or Chiyotaikai? I, personally, am deeply tempted to choose Chiyotaikai in my games, but all i see in this forum is people (not to name names) worshipping Kaio. He just barely took the yusho last basho, but it seems that many people think he's almost a lock to take it this basho, even with a healthier Musashimaru, a less-distracted Asashoryu, and, of course Taikai. anyway- who do you pick? Zenjimoto 40 Posted August 30, 2003 Although I am pretty darn sure that Kaio won't win the Yusho for previously stated reasons, he may well still perform at the level of or better than Chiyotaikai. In the past few basho, I have "diversified" - i.e. picked them both in different games, rather than picking the same guy in every game I entered... I'm not a hardcore Kaio fan, but I've always liked the guy, and I especially like the fact that he's not one of the ultra-talented guys who just seem to rise and rise and rise up the banzuke as Asashoryu did (who I like for different reasons), but that he actually had to work hard for his success and did hit quite a few stumbling blocks along the way.
