Sentoryu illustrates just how difficult it is to rebound from injuries... he's basically lost 2 years as a sekitori, trying to fight his way back up....

Happy days for Tomozuna-beya! (Holiday feeling...)

Let's see if the latest sekitori-brother-duo can raise some eyebrows. Tamanokuni and Tamanoshima didn't exactly impress last basho. Kitazakura and Toyozakura surprised me a little bit, especially the older one. I hope he'll be back in Makuuchi with his big salt throw one day again soon...

Cheers

Ms1w Jewzan

I like Juzan, he has a quirky "surprise is waiting to happen" type look. Like he's always organizing a practical joke or something... (Holiday feeling...)

To me, Juzan has a "not-so-surprising Makushita re-demotion waiting to happen" look (Holiday feeling...) (Punk rocker...) (Clapping wildly...)

Cheers

Don't be too quick on the trigger there, Zenji-zeki. You might end up with pie on your face. (Kicked by own computer...)

I said the same exact thing about Masutsuyoshi prior to the start of Nagoya. Look what happened there. (Holiday feeling...)

I too was shocked to see Masutsuyoshi's sudden success... as I was at Takanotsuru's, by the way... so there still is hope (Showing tongue at someone...) (Holiday feeling...)

I like that we can all be shocked every now and then... Like other sports, if sumo was completely predictable it'd be less interesting. Man. U doesn't win every time, the Lakers don't win every time, so life is good (Applauding...)

I disagree. (In a state of confusion...) He seemed to be doing decent enough in Juryo before injury forced his demotion, and he went back up pretty convincingly too.
