However, according to Nikkan Sports, he was unusually aggressive at the Tatsunami-Isegahama Rengo keiko in his participation in sekitori moshiai. He engaged in a total of 24 bouts, eagerly "borrowing the chests" of Kaio and Hakuho. Robo is in midst of a four basho makekoshi streak and has dropped in rank to maegashira 12. If he were to lose big at Natsu Basho, it is conceivable that he would be demoted to juryo for the first time in four years since '02 Hatsu Basho. That would be fate worse than death. The NSK must also be hoping that Takamisakari will be able to stay in makunouchi. They would like nothing better than to keep a rikishi who is so colorful and well liked by the public in the top division. Covered in dirt and eyes teary he talked about ongoing Aomori (his home prefecture) cherry blossom season and made a statement that he sees no sakura now but only sees kachi koshi goal for Natsu basho! His 24 bouts was second only to Korean keiko machine Kasugao who did 25. He has three consecutive 7-8 records now since Kyushu basho "I wonder it if it a curse...". Kaikitsune, you are too kind to Robo, making him sound like some kind of nature lover. (Shaking head...) What he was quoted as saying was that, "to be honest, [he] would rather be sitting under the cherry blossom, drinking some beer (On the banzuke...) and then taking a nice nap." (Scratching chin...) However, he realizes that he is currently in no position to do that. (Pulling hair...) (Carried away on a stretcher...) Shu: "You go on the 'Down' elevator by yourself.
