Kujo 123 Posted February 28, 2023 I guess this question is for the GTB admin, I did a search but couldn't find any info. I was wondering how the GTB participant's "record" was derived. For instance this past GTB, Chiyonosawa and Hoshotakamoto's records were 15-0 with different amounts of correct guesses (within that the bulls eyes and hits). How are the "records" calculated down to 0-15? Is it like being graded on a bell curve? Just curious, and any info is greatly appreciated.

This answer is not precise but you can see that 64 points was 15-0 and 19 points was 0-15 (45 point differential) so approximately every 3 points counting up from 19 got you another "win". Like I said, not precise because the steps are not at 22, 25, 28, 31, 34, 37, 40, 43, 46, 49, 52, 55, 58, 61 ... but it's pretty close to that.

Yubinhaad 11,761 Posted April 1, 2023 Late again, sorry to bring up the last thread now that the new one is posted. There were two changes to the top ten ranks after this edition. Pitinosato and Akawainnoumi drop out after just a single basho in green, and for the second basho in a row we have two players making their top ten debuts, Wakudoyama and Moshogaeru. Leonishiki is the 6th player to surpass the 6,000 point milestone, while Taxinohana is the 19th to collect 5,000 points. Shift is the 27th player to hold the #1 rank.
