The bouts Nr. 2 and 13 will count for all players as right, because Harumafuji and Takanoiwa were the whole basho on no one torikumi, the bouts 1, 4, 7, 8 and 14 count as X. If I had known about Takanoiwa's withdrawal, I wouldn't have X'd Aoiyama vs. Chiyomaru, as it went up to 70% to happen (was presumably 60-65% before) when I rejiggered the probabilities to finalize the rest of my prebasho picks based on who was absent from the first torikumi. Aoiyama missing 4 days certainly helped. I'm not sure why more people don't pick X for the maegashira joi bouts. Sure, they're going to happen a reasonable amount of the time, but they are actually much less likely than bouts between close ranks of maegashira not in the joi. I even had X for Tochiozan vs. Shohozan being right 60% of the time, which is better than lots of plain A v B picks. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
