Today in the kokugikan – Nichidai day:


Winner: Kawabata (4th y. – vice-captain) ms15 qualification


2nd: Kudo (4th, captain)


3rd: Turbold (1st – Mongolia, spell?, same school year as Ichinnorow/Ichinojo and similar built)


3rd: Noguchi (former Nichidai, corporate)


best 8 with 2 more from Nichidai



Last year's winner Endo was watching, with a mask: a cold or a feeble attempt at being incognito ?

62nd All Japan sumo championships.
Amateur yokozuna Kawabata (175cm, 145kg) about entering ozumo: “I wanted to become pro since I was very young, but recently there wasn't such thing. With this yusho I also want to think about that direction. At the moment I'm not sure what to do.”

Endo is not only Kawabata's Nichidai sempai, but also from his Kanazawa high school.
