Our most disagreeable player is Tsubame, followed very closely by Bugman and tzutzy.Most of the matches have closer than normal pick counts, and we have some very interesting X picks. It should be an interesting basho.Let's get this thing started!Ooops! Eagle-eyed Profomisakari once again caught 2 typos in my entries. The counts have been corrected. Tsubame 378 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Don't know if I should laugh or cry? Profomisakari 912 Posted January 20, 2013 We have a new (old) leader. All A specialist Jejima came with 8 points back to the top position. But he has now six pursuers, only one point back. And Tsubame? Has his first points, two in a row! The red lamp he didn't lose. But there is much time until Senshuraku. Profomisakari 912 Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) Two days before Senshuraku we have only 11 bouts and tomorrow too only one. Tomorrow we can have a look at the X picks and we should see, if they'll decide games final result. But I think we'll have a whole string of bouts. - and we have to wait until the last of them. At first we have the same leader as yesterday: All A picker Jejima with 9 points, but now before only 2 pursuers: Achiyama and Profomisakari (as me). Profomisakari 912 Posted January 26, 2013 (edited) Oops, this is painfull!I let the comment I wrote today, but it ignores the X picks .I didn' write them into my calculations table.This means, the following players ranking table, that I posted today, is without consideration the X picks.I#m sure, tomorrow, if I had completed the results of bouts 1 to 3, I had wondered and corected the table.But Jim mailed me my painfull mistake. and I should it correct instandly.So let me write the comment new!At first: This is the current ranking table without realization of X picks:Rk Player . . . . .Pts.1 Jejima . . . . . 11.2 Achiyama . . . . 10.3 Profomisakari. . 10.4 Tochinofuji. . . .9.5 Asojima. . . . . .9.6 Pandaazuma . . . .9.7 Ronnie . . . . . .8.8 Screeching Owl . .8.9 Bugman . . . . . .810 Flohru . . . . . .811 Holleshoryu. . . .812 Kuroimori. . . . .713 Senkoho. . . . . .614 Wamahada . . . . .615 Shimodahito. . . .616 Yamasanzan . . . .617 Tzutzy . . . . . .618 Andonishiki. . . .619 Susanoo. . . . . .620 Fujisan. . . . . .621 Mmikasazuma. . . .622 Terarno. . . . . .623 Peeter . . . . . .524 Tsubame. . . . . .3But there were five X picks and this brings the follwing new ranking:Rk Player . . . . .Pts.1 Profomisakari. . 11.2 Jejima . . . . . 11.3 Achiyama . . . . 10.4 Tochinofuji. . . 10.5 Asojima. . . . . 10.6 Tzutzy . . . . . 10.7 Pandaazuma . . . .9.8 Bugman . . . . . .9.9 Kuroimori. . . .. 810 Ronnie . . . . . .811 Screeching Owl . .812 Flohru . . . . . .813 Holleshoryu. . . .814 Susanoo. . . . . .715 Senkoho. . . . . .616 Wamahada . . . . .617 Shimodahito. . . .618 Yamasanzan . . . .619 Andonishiki. . . .620 Fujisan. . . . . .621 Mmikasazuma. . . .622 Terarno. . . . . .623 Peeter . . . . . .524 Tsubame. . . . . .3Profomisakari (as me) had only one bout with X picked, but just this bout didn't take place. So I have the same 11 points like Jejima, but the better tiebreaker.But now you can check, who can beat me with for hoim lucky bout results!At first: Jejima has the same A picks as me - and cannot win.How I found out, there are only Kuroimori (currently 8 points, but three different picks), Achiyama and Tochinofuji, who all can reach the same result as me - and they all have a better tiebreaker as me.But they must have the different picks right.I hope for me.And thank you, Jim for the message!Profomisakari Edited January 26, 2013 by Profomisakari
Achiyama 1,271 Posted January 27, 2013 Looks like after Senshuraku bouts there are 6 players with 11 points in this order: 1. Kuroimori 11 pts. 2. Achiyama 11 pts. 3. Tochinofuji 11 pts. 4. Profomisakari 11 pts. 5. Tzutzy 11 pts. 6. Jejima 11 pts.
Profomisakari 912 Posted January 27, 2013 You look right, @ Achiyama! This was a very very dramatic final! Three open bouts we hat today, the last three of the whole basho. An excellent performance of our bout selector Asojima. Before these 3 bouts leaded Profomisakari with 11 points. The first relevant bout to the game was Kakuryu vs Kotoshiguki (both Spatzls of Fay). Shogi won and the new leader was Tochinofuji before me. My chance had had it, or was "im Eimer", how the Germans say. Next bout was Kise against Osh. And Kise lost . So was the new leader Achiyama with no more chance for Tochinofuji. But than came the final bout between the Yokozunas. And there was Kuroimori, who had given his vote as first and so had the best tiebreaker. This morning he was 3 point behind the leader. But he had all three bouts different to me - and from the leading group as the only one voted for Harumafuji. Haruma won and now is the great winner of the Hatsu basho 2013 21 game: (Showing respect...) (Clapping wildly...) (Yusho winner...) (First prize...)Kuroimori!!! (First prize...) (Yusho winner...) (Clapping wildly...) (Showing respect...) (Doing a wave...) (Showing respect...) (Showing respect...) (Clapping wildly...) (Yusho winner...) (Clapping wildly...) (Showing respect...) tzutzy 0 Posted January 30, 2013 I'd like us participants to think and come up with some sort of sansho prizes for this game. Here are some suggestions: - Kanto Sho: a system similar to "guess Kisenosato's aite" ginosho prize where if you're the only one to pick let's say an A for a match and you're right, you get let's say 3 points, then 2, then 1 (with more people picking that option), winner of the prize is highest points, with a minimum of 3 or 4 points for example; - Shukun Sho: most points from bouts involving sanyaku rikishi, with a minimum of 3 points. This past basho would've been getting most points (at least 3) from the first 5 matches. - Gino Sho: highest number of successful 'X' picks. Any others? :)

Achiyama 1,271 Posted January 30, 2013 Another thought: In order all this to happen the points from the standings have to be transformed into win:loss, so to be determined the KK/MK line.
tzutzy 0 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) I can compile a win/loss and a banzuke if people are interested. When did the game start? As I'd need to go back to the start to be fair to early participants Edit: I cannot find previous 21 posts in the Games Forum, have they been moved/deleted?
