Fujisan 533 Posted October 7, 2003 I said this before but the Wolfs drop from Makuuchi to Makushita in 75-76 gives hope to all Rikishi- Quite amazing to think he recovered to be the greatest Rikishi for the last 30 yrs at least.
Kotoseiya Yuichi 3 Posted October 7, 2003 [181.5 cm, 91 kg] Amazing, guy of my size (once I've managed to lose 15+ kgs :-) ...). Even Mainoumi was closer to 100 kgs and he was about ten centimeters shorter than Chiyonofuji so the Wolf must have looked very thin when he was coming up the banzuke even if the guys were smaller at the time than they are on average now. Hm, I think it's more the other way round... he recovered, BECAUSE he is one of the greatest of all time (plus or minus 10 yusho with or without yaocho) (Applauding...), which leaves in turn LITTLE hope for the REGULAR journeyman rikishi :-) Cheers Z.
