aderechelsea 125 Posted May 7, 2007 STOP THE PRESS !!!!!! Sumo has just arrived in Athens !!!! Today i am delighted to host Petr in my house for one day and this guy is so great that he carried with him 2 heavy mawashi all the way from Japan to do Sumo training with me. The place i chose to go was not the best if you consider the condition of the ground but the scenery was superb. We wrestled a bit under the Acrople in the place where the ancient Greek wrestlers sparred. Great experience !!! i realised a bit hos tough it is to actually do sumo but i am developiing an appetite now and i'll have to find sparring partners from tomorrow on because i want to do more and more. but enough with the talk .. here are some pics: Here's me posing Here's pathetic shiko Here's good shiko, courtesy of Petr The view was nice .... (i am talking about the city below us !!!) And here's two pics for Kintamayama who definitely knows what we're missing (Whistling...)

Petr 0 Posted May 9, 2007 I've just returned to our lab from a conference in Greece and the first thing people asked me was whether I went there just to do sumo. Appearentely, someone has come accross John's Mixi diary. Anyway, it was a great experience. I felt that this is the kind of place where sumo should be done. (The hand is daijoubu.) I'd like to see a thread of members' pics doing sumo stuff at various places around the world. Author of the best picture will get something from Nishi (or not). Petr 0 Posted May 9, 2007 I forgot to say that Adere seems to have a great talent for sumo. Hopefully, he will have a chance to do something about it. Morever, I'll use this opportunity to publicly thank him for being such an excelent host and an interesting guy. (I am not worthy...)

aderechelsea 125 Posted May 9, 2007 there's a real possibility of going to the Worlds, since there in no competition here in Greece, but my mere 72 Kgs will not really help me to live through the experience. I would be a fun experience though ... (And i will certainly lose some weight during my South America trip during the summer.) (I am not worthy...) (Holiday feeling...)
