Hakuhou avoids Yokozuna keiko-Asa has hay fever

Hakuhou has told reporters that contrary to his promise and to the past pre-basho trainings, he will not do any keiko with Asashouryuu. He has decided that his body isn't "ready" yet. "I will not be going to where the Yokozuna is. Tomorrow I will go for degeiko at Dewanoumi and after that, no more degeiko till the Basho starts!", he said.

Hakuhou at a festival he attended in the evening:

Asashouryuu did not do any keiko today. "He's a bit tired out so he is resting and taking it easy. He has had hay fever for the last few days, for the first time in his life..", explained Takasago Oyakata. He did go out to that festival in the evening though, as can be read in this thread.

Well I don't think it will bother him when he steps on dohyo on Haru. Or is it sign that he takes young rising prospects very seriously.

Word on the street is that Ms. Uchidate is up in arms over Asa's hay fever. "This would never have happened if he hadn't brought back that Mongolian pollen on his last trip home.", she was heard saying. (I am not worthy...)
