Kintamayama 47,132 Posted March 5, 2003 Hi! This time it's Takanowaka, who has announced his kyujo. It's his knee from the roundhouse dished out by Mickey on Senshuuraku last, knocking him out and literaly sending him to his knees. He can walk, he says, but bending the knee is painful. What isn't clear to me is if he got a kosho. He should have, since he got it "in the line of duty".. OTOH, it was regarded as a "light' injury" at the time, so perhaps it was not applied for.. Hmm..I fear that's the case, meaning he's in for a real tumble in May..
Kotoseiya Yuichi 3 Posted March 5, 2003 I don't remember any talk about kosho at the time, either. It seems like the knee got aggravated only later and no kosho was applied for in time. Bummer! :~-(
Hashira 0 Posted March 6, 2003 just heard that musashimaru will be kyujo for sure. also, asasho hurt his right shoulder and hasn't practiced for a few days. he says he will be in the basho, but doesn't know how much the injury will bother him. kaio&chiyotaikai are in. all for now

Bummer! :~-( Seems like kosho wouldn't likely to be applied for this case. And as far as I've heard, actually this is not aggravation but :-P misdiagnosis! Yoavoshimaru 0 Posted March 6, 2003 And as far as I've heard, actually this is not aggravation but misdiagnosis! The knee had been bad enough from the very start... They probably wanted to be optimistic and hope he could recover enough, as he did not want to sit out this basho. Unfortunately, sometimes all the desire is not enough and you just need time to recover. What's this about Asashoryu injuring his shoulder? When/where/how did this happen? (Oh my god...) (Oh my god...) (Nervous...)
