Achiyama 1,272 Posted January 7, 2017 ANNOUNCEMENT These days I took some time and scrutinized Pandaazuma's Promotion to Yokozuna and found out that the Promotion was done prematurely. 1.) Here are the "Promotion to Yokozuna" rules as posted in "2016 Kyushu - The Underdog Game (TUG) - INVITATION" topic: Promotion to Yokozuna Ozeki rank on the recent two tournaments kachi-koshi result on the recent four tournaments at least two Yusho or Jun-Yusho (by kekka, not points) on the recent four tournaments, and of those at least one Yusho or Jun-Yusho as an Ozeki at least 33 kekka points on the recent three basho 2.) Here is my announcement for the Yokozuna Watch, which was posted in "2016 Kyushu - The Underdog Game (TUG) - ENTRY, TORIKUMI, STANDINGS" topic: ANNOUNCEMENT At the beginning of this basho, when I announced the Gamers, who are on an Ozeki watch, I didn't make a bigger announcement - we have a Gamer on an Yokozuna watch. (Thank you Simon for your question and I apologize for my miss. Nothing personal. I just thought it's too early for an Yokozuna watch.) So, PANDAAZUMA is on an Yokozuna watch. And it is very achievable. All he needs for the promotion is: 1.) To win an Yusho or Jun-Yusho this basho, and 2.) To achieve 10 Kekka points. Good Luck and Gambare, Panda-zeki! 3.) After the completion of 2016 Kyushu basho, Panda-zeki made an appeal about his Yokozuna promotion based on the fact that he had achieved 10 kekka points. Obviously, he overlooked the #1 criterion, which was not satisfied. Unfortunately, I overlooked this criterion as well. It shouldn't happen. I apologize for that! If I was a medieval samurai I would have already performed a seppuku. For the fairness of the game and to all TUG Gamers, I made the following: EXECUTIVE DECISION: 1.) I won't remake the 2017 Hatsu TUG Banzuke (to prevent a chaos), but I'll consider the Yokozuna rank with an *. 2.) If Pandaazuma achieves an Yusho or Jun Yusho during 2017 Hatsu Basho - he will remain Yokozuna. 3.) If he doesn't achieve Yusho or Jun Yusho during 2017 Hatsu Basho - he will be demoted to Ozeki. When the Deadline expires if there are more than 1 submittals from the same Gamer I take into consideration the latest picks submitted. You can make as many submittals as you want before the expiration of the Deadline. If you forget to write down your Shikona in Q#1 or any of the picks and click on DONE, you won't get the "Thank you for submitting .......". That means that you missed to fill some of the questions. But you can submit a new Entry Form. You can do it as many times as you want. The latest one (the time of submittal is recorded) will be taken into consideration. Thanks 5 points - Basic points 4 points - Rank points (1) - Maegashira points (from M3e to M2w = 1 point; from M2w to M2e = 1 point; from M2e to M1w = 1 and from M1w to M1e = 1) 7 -points - rank points (3) - Equality of Sanyaku points - 3rd row M1e defeats an Ozeki 7 points - Bonus points - Ginboshi (2nd row) - Maegashira defeats Ozeki Total: 23 points All calculations are automatically calculated.
